Ice like glass, frigid and frost, yes, I will stand here, never mind the cost.
Cry and comfort, bicker and hate, we're making up fifteen years too late.
You are not my brother, I have no love for you.
But you're still here, and here I am with you.
I hate you, I'd kill you if I could, I'd never have to speak to you again, but we both know I would.

Emerald Calla Lily

Immaculately crafted,
ready to gift,
the flower rests untouched.

Forgotten and lost,
coated in dust,
it’s dreams shrivel and die.

Never to be given,
as a gift under a tree,
the sparkle disappears.

A door bell rings,
hope jumps and takes flight,
but dies as the lights flicker off.

A loud crack sounds,
the shelf lurches,
and crashes to the ground.

Gem slivers ricochet across the polished floor,
twinkling in the moonlight,
dreams have shattered for the last time. (hide spoiler)]
