March 2020 Group Read Nominations
Mandibles by Jeff StrandThe Conqueror Worms by Brian Keene
Cows by Matthew Stokoe
COWS might be a bit extreme for the group though. I don't immediately recall anything that intense suggested previously.
+1 Slugs+1 Cows also but, from what I understand, that may be a bit strong for some folks (like Mike mentioned above).

Excellent read!!"
This one sounds fantastically interesting.
I heartily nominate Cows by Matthew Stokoe!!! A sometimes disgusting and disturbing ready but by turns also hilarious and with some fascinatingly original social commentary! Some pretty grotesque imagery but a very interesting narrative that for those of you with strong stomachs, this one could be right to your alley.
How about ZOO by James Patterson? I don't know if it fully classifies as horror but thought I'd throw it out there.https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...
or, The Dark Portal by Robin Jarvis? I remember being horrified by some parts of this book.

I have "Cujo" and "the Lost World" in my to-read list, but I could nominate "The Hound" by H.P Lovecraft.

The Dark Portal is YA fantasy, so that can't be nominated.

In our ongoing efforts to discover new great books and authors, these very popular titles many of us have already read will not be eligible: Jaws, Cujo, Pet Sematary, James Herbert's Fluke/The Rats/Lair/Domain, Michael Crichton's Jurassic Park/The Lost World.
Cat or bat, dog or frog, deer or bear, snake or drake, show us those great animal stories!
Additionally,
-Books that receive the most seconds, thirds, etc., are more likely to qualify for the final poll.
-Authors may not nominate their own books.
-Books that have previously been chosen in the past 4 years are not eligible. Our previous group read list can be found here:
