Mome_Rath | 1882 comments Very nice choice, Carol — Kwei Quartey’s books are fantastic.

Since Carmen has already mentioned a book by Malla Nunn for Swaziland, I’ll throw out an option for South Africa which has been on my radar, but which I haven’t read: Devil's Peak by Deon Meyer.

Mome_Rath | 1882 comments And for the Marshall Islands, I’ll recommend The Atomic Times: My H-Bomb Year at the Pacific Proving Ground by Michael Harris, a favorite of mine from several years ago.

I’m so annoyed that I’ve not yet read him, and, worse, own two books in the series. Glad to hear your endorsement!

I didn't know of this one. Thanks for sharing.
I'm a great fan of mysteries so this challenge is being a godsend to me since I had already in mind to read mysteries around the world this year, and thaks to you all I'm discovering such good books and places to go to that I want to read them all! 😉
