Is creative nonfiction equivalent to narrative nonfiction?

Yes, it is. Over the years, the genre has gone by many names. But basically, it's any nonfiction book that reads like fiction. Have you found a good one?

One of my friends, Mary Alice Haug has an essay in River Teeth: Twenty Years of Creative Nonfiction by Joe Mackall (Editor), Daniel W Lehman (Editor), Robert Atwan (Foreword). I am considering reading this or her memoir "Daughter of the Grasslands" for the narrative fiction option.

Both sound equally fascinating! I'm still mulling my choices... :-)
