2015: The Year of Reading Women discussion

If there is ever a book that deserves to be discussed in a group centering around female authorship, it is Maxine Hong Kingston's The Woman Warrior.

I have this book sitting on my shelf waiting for an undertaking like this, Traveller.

Sounds good. I'm planning to read Yourcenar's Memoir of Hadrian starting 8/15, so this schedule should work.

I am also doing the MOH read, Sue, so we can always work with that. How would you and Kris feel if we started, let's say in mid-July to make space for Hadrian? IIRC, Woman Warrior is not a thick book, so 3 weeks should be quite adequate, unless you'd like more time? If so, a mid-July start should still be perfect.

Oh good! Since we originally DID have it in August but made it earlier for Memoirs of Hadrian, I'll put it back in August then. Will just have to scrunch it in with Hadrian...

Argh, I simply don't have much free time at the moment. Is there anybody who still wants to read this now, or can I move this book on to the end of the year or to next year?

I am sitting in the same position as you Traveller, so moving it would be better for me. It depends on what the others will reply.

I can read it either now or later, although I would prefer moving it to later in the year.
