Little Red Riding Hood is not who you think she is. That innocent little girl isn't so innocent or sweet anymore.

Red is an assassin. Not very well known, but dangerous and lethal all the same.
And her new victim is the Queen of Hearts.

Wolf is also an assassin. A highly honorable one; an expert in the hierarchy of his profession.
And his new victim is the Queen of Hearts.
So what happens when two dangerous, arrogant assassins cross paths while trying to claim their bounty?

Nothing good at all.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Red Riding Hood

Little Red Riding Hood was her name. The moniker came and stuck to her from those who have seen her, yet her real name is unknown. The title dubbed upon her swathed her in a cloud of mystery, as did the velvet red cloak she was always seen clad in. The cloak draped down to the floor, concealing most of Red's body. If Red's sobriquet didn't already confuse most, then her cloak did so. Without having knowledge of the young girl beneath that cloak, most drew back from her in fear instead of admiration for the cloak's handiwork. They can't really help it. There was just something... uncanny about the so-called Little Red Riding Hood. Maybe it's the way she walks around the villages in the Queen of Hearts' kingdom, with her cloak obscuring her face. Despite being so silent and solemn, Red seemed to radiate a type of confidence that most would admire. Or perhaps it's because of the ominous silence she produced when villagers were in her presence. All activity and chatter would halt at her sight, and never return until she was gone. Or it might possibly be that strangers scarcely frequented in the Queen of Hearts' fortress, and when they did, they came boding ill news. Oh no, Red only began appearing in the Queen of Hearts' land for a couple months, but no one knew who she was or the business she did. She was enigma of mystery. She was captivating, but seemingly dangerous at the same time. And no one knew a single thing about her.

What would meet them under Red's loose fitting hood would astonish them, though. One would never expect such a pretty face to be obscured by that cloak. The contours of her face were rounded, giving her a young appearance, complemented with high cheekbones. Red's eyes were a dark, stormy gray and were always passing back and forth, taking in every single detail of its surroundings. Her hair is a dark chocolate brown and cascaded in thick waves down her back. Red's complexion is ivory, but her cheeks hold health in them. Despite being called 'Little Red Riding Hood', Red is the opposite. She's tall, coming in at five feet and ten inches and stands with proud posture. Full, yet pallid pink lips and a slender build completed her beautiful appearance.

What most would never guess about this Little Red Riding Hood was that she's an assassin. A bounty hunter. Her motivation? Gold. Red isn't well-known in her assassin business, but is still paid a great sum for her kills. She doesn't care who has a bounty on her head; if whoever wanted them dead has money, she goes for it. Her signature kill is poison. She poisons the food of her victim. It works slowly; it makes the consumer lethargic for a few hours. But then the poison reaches the heart. And then death. Once the poison's been in the system for more than half an hour, there is no cure. That's why Red uses it so often. It's effective and highly untraceable. And it's rare. No one, as far as Red was concerned, had possession of the poison outside or inside the Queen of Heart's land. Except for her. Despite not being very well known, Red had eyes and ears everywhere. She could get her hands on anything she wanted. If she couldn't... well, then she'd resort to deceit and trickery. If Red wanted a nice, clean death—or proof that she killed a certain person—she'd cut off the victim's head and bring it to her sponsor.

And that was exactly what she would be doing for the Queen of Hearts. That was why she was in the Queen's kingdom. She had been assigned the biggest bounty of her life. This would be the hardest kill she's ever going to execute. She would be assassinating the Queen of Hearts herself.

Wolf

They called him Wolf. Why? Perhaps it's his ferocious expression, always visible on his stone hard face. Or his slender, yet toned limbs that resembled those of a wolf's. Or the way he strutted around, his head held high, so confidently and solemnly, and airing a sense of arrogance at the same time. Or his observant, beady black eyes, always flickering around and taking in every single detail of their surroundings. One would say, though, that if someone were to meet the Wolf's gaze, they were sure to die. It's clear why most would want to avoid the Wolf's stare; it was icy and unforgiving and seemed to stare straight into a person's soul, as if they could see anybody's deepest fears and darkest secrets.

Ominousness hung clear in the air each time he appeared, and remained there long after he vanished, and everyone who had the misfortune to encounter him always drew back immediately in fear, watching silently as he passed by. It's not surprising that that happens, though. Wolf was one of the most feared assassins in the land, both outside and inside the Queen of Heart's fortress. He was an expert in the hierarchy of his profession, and his prodigious prowess in weaponry and combat set him apart as a person that should not be messed with. He moved around the land quietly, assassinating person after person for his mysterious 'sponsor'. Unlike Red Riding Hood, Wolf had only one sponsor. A supposedly rich and powerful man who had a lot of enemies he wanted to eliminate. Wolf was just that man to carry out those deeds for him. Albeit never having met, Wolf still does business with the man, traveling across the land and killing the targets he's sent after. Wolf kills, he gets paid. No questions asked.

And now he would be paid one of the largest sum of money in his entire career as an assassin. His next target would be the Queen of Hearts, one of the most respected and feared rulers in the land.
