I LOVED this novel! Does This Make My Head Look Bed is a modern story that depicts the conflict that often occurs between religion and society. Amal is a Muslim who was born and raised in Australia. She attends a a private school filled with wealthy Catholics, Christians, and non-religious students, and she wants to wear her hijab. This would be a bold move considering her school and the views of society. The novel tells Amal's story, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I would encourage it to be read by everyone who is 12 and up. There is no sensitive content or need for censorship besides minor bullying.
