Kris (krisrabberman) I already read and can recommend After Midnight. I am hoping to read another book or two by Keun in 2015. I have Gilgi, Child of All Nations and The Artificial Silk Girl waiting to be read.

Ruby (herzschlag) | 19 comments The Artificial Silk Girl is absolutely brilliant! I am tempted to re-read it, but also kind of feel the need to leave that first feverish reading experience of it intact.

Literary Multitudes (literary_multitudes) | 60 comments "The Artificial Silk Girl" has been on my shelf for ages, waiting to be read. I bought it years ago at a library used book sale, not knowing what it was about, nor who Irmgard Keun is.
I meant to read more German books finally, so this might be on my reading list for 2015, too.

Kris (krisrabberman) I'm definitely going to read The Artificial Silk Girl this year, as well as Gilgi.

Literary Multitudes (literary_multitudes) | 60 comments I'd love to make it a buddy read or a group read if we can manage. :) It looks like a rather quick read (300 pages with big print and much space in my edition), so I should be able to find time for it soon.

Kris (krisrabberman) That's great! I can fit it in at any time, so just give me a heads up whenever you know what your schedule is.

Literary Multitudes (literary_multitudes) | 60 comments Great! I'd like to finish Erfolg first, which will probably take me all January and then I'm game for reading "The Artificial Silk Girl" in February or March. (And maybe more Irmgard Keun later on)
