I guess it was always a niggle in the back of my mind, but once we learn more about his brother and McHenry's involvement with Chantal I was convinced something was amiss.
When Jules’ mother, Grace, declared he didn’t murder Chantal, I was convinced. She’s a powerful underworld figure and would know.
There was something fishy about de Compans explanation about what happened that night. I wasn't sure what did happen that night, but I believed Nicholas of de Compans.
I thought he was innocent early on. I kept going back to the similarities between Sebastian in book 1 and Nicholas. There but for the grace of God go I, was on a loop in my brain.
