While I wasn't completely sold on Butterfly Burning, women authors from Africa definitely deserve more attention, in this group as elsewhere. Thanks, Rowena!I think I wasn't in the right head space for how lyrical Vera's writing is and I plan to give her another shot with The Stone Virgins or possibly Without a Name and Under the Tongue, though I couldn't say when.
