What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

Spoilers Ahead.

I read this novel in 2018.
The plot focuses around a teenage girl who starred on a television show as a young child (I think her name was Elizabeth in the show). The main character can hear other people's thoughts, but only when they're thinking about her. In the very beginning of the story, she is living alone when she gets kidnapped. Two men (One is named tom, I believe) carried her, crying in a ball, to a van. They said they weren't kidnapping her, they thought they were saving her from her dad who was isolating her (according to the media). He was not, her father had actually died a week prior. It turns out her house is a safe spot for her mind reading abilities, and doesn't hear others' thought while she's in her house. Eventually the men let her go, except their friend (whose names starts whit a V) is concerned about main character. Forgot details concerting V. The main character can hear little clips of things her mom (who has the same ability as MC) thinks about her, so MC starts searching for her. Somehow a lot of people in the town they lived in can read minds, so main character goes to a really old lady's house who explains some things and that MC's mom is in a mental institute.
