To be fair I haven't read a ton of Stephen King but I did somewhat enjoy The Long Walk which was the first book he wrote apparently while he was in college but it was published much later under a pseudonym. If you do read it, DON'T read the forward/preface because there are spoilers!

Hi Brian! I recommend Misery. It is considered a horror and thriller, if you like those types of books! And it doesn't stray into fantasy like many of his other books.
