Tom | 26 comments I had just started reading this when I found this reading challenge, and since I'm not that far through yet I thought I would use it for the first week. It's one that had been on my Kindle for a while but I never got round to reading, and so far it seems pretty good.

JackAttack Very curious to see how this is! Just picked it up at a cheap book sale!

Arto | 28 comments My first pick was Browns Angels & Demons, but when I started to listen it, I noticed I have read it. So maybe this on my to-read list is better choice then.

Caleb (irishmac473) How'd you like it? Thinking about reading this series for our trilogy section.

message 5: by Tom (new) - rated it 3 stars

Tom | 26 comments I really liked it. There are a lot of technical details (and I really mean a lot), but it paints a really great picture of what it could be like if we tried to colonize Mars, and what could potentially happen. The characters are kind of just there to watch the plot happen, but the plot itself is good enough that it doesn't matter. Definitely one to read if you like hard sci-fi.

Caleb (irishmac473) Cool, I think I will read it for trilogy weeks. I read 2312 by him and enjoyed it.

Arto | 28 comments Quarter done and not hooked yet. I haven't met any friends yet and story is somewhere, but not in my imagination. It seems more like a journal than a suspense story I expected it to be. Like Tom said: The characters are just there and story goes like days, weeks, months etc.

Arto | 28 comments 50 % done and this seems to be most boring ones I have read.

Arto | 28 comments Finally managed to listen this thru. Damn it was booring. Too scientific to be entertaining in dramatic way, but not enough scientific to entertain engineers mind.
