We Are All Completely Beside Ourselves by Karen Fowler. A woman in my monthly book club recommended this to me. It was much better than I expected. The first 25% starts off slow and it's a little scattered, but the rest make up for it. It takes an interesting view of social behavior and relationships.
Going to include Grave Sight by Charlaine Harris ... New staff member at work has lent it to me and assured me it won't frustrate me like the True Blood/Sookie Stackhouse ones did (yet I read them all ... Haha!) ...I have tomorrow off work with instructions to lay on the couch and nap ... So shall start this in between naps ... 262 pages ... Can't see it taking me too long ...
Start of school year has been so busy it's been nice to have this moment to read for pleasure again ... I've started Wuthering Heights too ...
Finished Grave Sight ... Easy read (just longer when you're dropped by a virus which thrives on making you so bloody tired all the time) ... Different style to the Sookie Stackhouse books and I think that's a good thing ... I'll likely read more in this series provided it doesn't repeat itself like SS did ... This books resolves the complications nicely so I'm led to assume each book in the series may be a stand alone (to a degree) ...
Just finished I am the Messenger by Markus Zusak (same guy who wrote the Book Thief.) Thanks to Kylie for the recommendation. Awesome book! Not one I would choose to read myself if I picked it up at the bookstore. That's why I love this challenge! I'm reading all sorts of good stuff. This one is a bit funny and a bit sad. I think I have to reread it at some point as I am sure there's stuff I missed. 5*.
Did you get the mystery man at the end? I blow my kids' minds every time I teach it and highlight it ... A few kids get it first read but most don't ...
