Shar The Wind In The Willows by Kenneth Grahame. I couldn't get past the first 15ish pages when I read this for my Children's Lit class in Junior College. So, I'm going to revisit it. This time around I'm going to step it up and read the Annotated version.

Kylie I read all my books when I was at school ... even persevered through the torture that was Moby Dick and James Bond while at university :(

Kylie Oh wait ... I still haven't read Harry Potter ... Was meant to teach it to a class but another teacher took it so I never read it ...

I'll make that my one for here!

Kylie I am in the same boat. I read every book assigned to me. Elementary, Middle, High, College, Masters Program, and now LPC classes. I'm a geek that way. :) I may just have to find a book they are using in high school/college now that they didnt have back then.

Valery | 22 comments If a book was assigned while I was in school, I read it! I was a total overachiever. But, I spent my junior year abroad so I never read all the classic American lit books you're supposed to read that year like Great Gatsby and Catcher in the Rye.

Terri Kleinberg | 18 comments I'm with Kieren, I never read Pride and Prejudice in High School, at least not that I remember.

Kylie Potter done ... Slower than intended due to work commitments ...

I gave it 3 stars but I've seen the film several times and know the story too well (especially as it doesn't deviate far from the plot at all) so it wasn't something that made me go - oh my god, awesome! A friend has given me the rest of the series so I'll have to plod through them at some point ... I haven't seen the other movies as much (or at all for some of the last ones) so lack of detailed knowledge of the storyline will help :)

Maria Shuffit (mmaru) | 2 comments There was a different reading challenge I did that had this category, and one of the girls had the same issue, where she did read everything expected. We just altered it so that it would include any book commonly required for school reading that you hadn't read before.

I'm planning to read Great Expectations - more than just the first chapter this time. :)
