Maybe: Wicked Portland by F. John

message 3: by Shar (new)

Shar I got lucky with this one. I was raised in Seattle, so I'm doing Hotel on the Corner of Bitter & Sweet, which also works for the antonyms challenge.

Terri Kleinberg | 18 comments I'm going to look for the Boys of Boise for this one. Sort of hard to find books set in Boise, Idaho.

Rachel (raer) | 3 comments I had trouble finding a book for this one even though I've read a book set in my hometown. I'm from Knoxville, TN, and our claim to famous authors is James Agee, author of the incredibly morbid and overly detailed A Death in the Family, which I read for high school English class.

Turns out Cormac McCarthy set a book here in Knoxville, so I may get that and read it. I've never read any McCarthy, either. He set Suttree in Knoxville, so I'll hopefully have lots of luck finding it somewhere...

Dani B The only book I have found that is set in my hometown is a zombie book, and I'm not a fan of those. Can I cheat and do a city I have lived in, instead? lol

Valery | 22 comments Hah, good thing I'm from Philly. That shouldn't be too hard to find.

Shar Hotel On The Corner of Bitter And Sweet by Jamie Ford: Okay. I'm turning into a soft mush in my older age. This book was a sad tearjerker, and I felt I could relate to many of the feelings Henry was going through.
