I'm looking for a book I read last year but didn't finish and I can't remember it.

The book was about a girl who's botfriend, Ben, died in a shooting and after months of greving about his deaths she finally decides to go on with her life as a journalist I think it was. She goes to interview a singer who she knows from a white back and they fall in love and after a while she finds out her boyfriend isn't dead he faked his own death because some people were after him
