A. Historical Cozy Mysteries

B. A Lady's Guide to Etiquette and Murder (A Countess of Harleigh Mystery, #1) by Dianne Freeman by Dianne Freeman

C. Completed 6/8. This is a new series for me and one I will continue. The main character is a strong intelligent woman. I enjoyed the details of the time period - the late Victorian era.

Kristin | 32 comments Book #3

A. Dual Time Mysteries

B. The Broken Girls by Simone St. James by Simone St. James

C. Completed 8/13. I really enjoyed this slow burn of a gothic mystery. I read it on digital audio though Overdrive and it took me awhile because I had to request it twice. The narrator was not the best so I would suggest skipping the audio version.

I love this series and have the e-ARC for the newest one and a signed paperback ARC of book 2.

Kristin | 32 comments I am assuming the newest one is book 4 since there are three listed on Goodreads. I just checked out the second one from the library.

Kristin | 32 comments Book #4

A. Great War Veterans as Detectives

B. A Duty to the Dead (Bess Crawford, #1) by Charles Todd by Charles Todd

C. Completed 8/16. I greatly enjoyed this mystery. I was glad I already owned it on my Nook. I also have books #2, #3 and #4 on my Nook as well so I will be diving into this series even more in the future. I have read Charles Todd's other series with Ian Rutledge as well.

Kristin | 32 comments Book #5

A. Lose a Turn

B. The Satapur Moonstone (Perveen Mistry, #2) by Sujata Massey by Sujata Massey

C. Completed 8/18. This is the second installment of the Perveen Mistry series that takes place in India. I found it so fascinating because of its deep detail about Indian royalty during the 1920's and the relationship between the British and the Indian royalty as well. The mystery was something I had partially figured out and fit well with the plot! This one is a winner.

Kristin | 32 comments Book #6

A. Historical Mysteries 2015

B. The Mapmaker's Children by Sarah McCoy by Sarah McCoy

C. Completed 11/25. This historical fiction book revolves around two time periods. John Brown's daughter Sarah Brown from the 1860's and a woman and her husband from 2014, who ends up having ties to Sarah's time. The plot is fairly weak, not historically rich. An ok read for me.
