The Epic and Silly Adventure of Savvy Sir Vermont

Once there was a character
Who couldn’t have been savvier
Whose name was Vermont.

And he was a knight
With a lot of might
Who liked the color white
And was quite a sight!

He carried a sword
That he couldn’t afford
And a bar of soap
Kept in his cloak

Now one day he decided to slay a dragon
For a pizza holding flagon
So off he went at noon
And met up with a purple baboon.

And the purple baboon carried along with him
A piece of pineapple in a tin
And it was cut in several pieces
With the help of savvy Sir Vermont

They had been traveling for quite a time
When they bumped into a crocodile
“Good heavens sir!” cried savvy Sir Vermont
“Would you be a dear and not wander about?”

The crocodile wanted nothing better
Then to sever off
The poor man’s head
But saving strength, he left upset.

Traveling across the nile
Avoiding all the crocodiles
They bumped into a hard hippo

Who was eating a fallen slice of cake
And what a grumbling noise that hippo made!
So annoyed she swam away.

Now after three months of traveling afar with a purple baboon
Savvy Sir Vermont had need of shave
And a clean scalp
But dirty as ever, he bumped into the naughty dragon’s cave

And inside was a pretty princess
A pretty princess named Sand
Who had a pretty rose in her hand

“Oh Sir Vermont!” she cried at random
“Save me from this serpent’s venom!”
The last bit was metaphorical
Since we know of no dragon with venom.

“I’ll save you fair princess!” Savvy Sir Vermont raged,
“I’ll kill that naughty, nasty, dragon!”
Then that naughty, nasty, dragon said, “Come on now! Let’s be friends!”

But savvy Sir Vermont didn’t fall for the nasty trick
And slew that dragon really quick
And what was savvy Sir Vermont’s great reward?
Golden poppies
And, oh yeah, that pizza holding flagon
All for killing a measly naughty dragon
Apparently that’s all the silly savvy Sir Vermont deserved.

To ward off a dragon from a random cartoon.

Hard Harriet Sand readied her harpoon,
To fire at the pizza boy’s cake-shaped balloon.

Scaly Jay Crocodile would make all the girls swoon,
Though his friends thought him more a vulgar baboon.

Happy Kaye Scalp looked up at the moon,
Clutching white poppies from her boyfriend tycoon.

Cowardly George gave his pineapple whiskers a prune,
With a sever cut mid-shave – he was such a buffoon.

A man with no name returned from a stinky lagoon,
His full strength soap might help make him immune.
