Titania sniffed. “Mmm... I know what I’m gonna get. Oooh, I can’t wait!” Titania was so excited. She wasn’t allowed sweets that much at home, but here, she could have as much as she wanted. And she wanted a lot. “Actually, I dunno what I’m gonna get. There’s so much to choose from!” She exclaimed.
"Why not just get a bag of everything, and we can take it to one of our dorms?" Viyana suggested. "Then we could all split everything." Chyra growled again. "No, Chyra." Viyana said firmly.
“Yeah, good idea. We can come to my dorm.” Titania suggested. Then, she bought 3 things of everything in the menu. “Ok, let’s go. Wait, does Chyra want anything?” She looked at the panther.
((panther))
Chyra preened and padded forward eagerly, but Viyana said, "Not a good idea. Human food isn't very compatible with panthers." Chyra growled at her. Viyana just shook her head, remembering when Chyra ate a box of chocolate croissants. "Panthers are carnivores. Usually." Chyra whined, pleading. "I'll let you hunt later tonight," Viyana promised. "You can find rabbits or something. There's a forest."

“Oh ok. That’s cool. Wanna head to my dorm now?” She asked the two of them.

((it's fine))
"Sure," Viyana smiled. Chyra slunk out the door. Viyana shook her head after the cat, smiling a bit. "Never offer a panther chocolate croissants," she snorted, and started walking.

Verton walked in the bakery doors with Amar, still shivering from their experience at the ocean. "This look good?" He asked. He certainly thought so. The scent of warm bread and the heat in the air definitely beat the haunted voices of the ocean. He breathed in deeply and let it out. "Better." Verton whispered to himself.
“I mean, as good as it can get,” Amar said, noticing a door at the back but choosing to ignore it. “Plus, i’m hungry so it works.” He pulled a wallet out of his back pocket, thankful that he remembered to take it out before entering the water.

Verton sighed wistfully. "I could use some bread for the next few days." He looked at Amar, then at his wallet. "I can pay you back if you want." Verton offered. "Scratch that. I will pay you back. What to get? What to get?" He thought aloud.
Amar put his wallet away, then looked up at the menu. “A croissant sounds good,” he said mindlessly. His bakery back home wasn’t this nice, that was for sure, but it still had a touch of love in it that he was hoping was also present here.

"A croissant it is!" Verton decided, snatching the money from Vertons wallet and slamming it down on the countertop. "Two croissants, please." He said, leaning on the table with an elbow. He spotted something odd about the wall, but decided not to mention it.
“I’ll go get us a table,” Amar said, and walked off. He found one next to a window, with two chairs. He sat down at one of them and waited for Verton.

The bakers handed him the two croissants wrapped in napkins and Verton thanked them with a dramatic bow and rushed over to Amar. "I like your taste! And a window to admire the view." But... he seemed distracted by something.
Amar took the second croissant from him, looking away from the window. “Everything okay? You hearing voices still?” He joked, taking a bite out of the croissant in his hand.

"What?" Verton asked, facing Amar and ripping off a chunk of the croissant. "Oh... uh. No." He was still distracted by the wall, barely paying attention to Amar. "No, sorry. It's just the wall. Something seems off about it." Verton explained, pointing at the far wall from the entrance, coated carefully in black paint.
Amar took another bite as he looked to where Verton was pointing. He squinted slightly before truly noticing it, but instead of reacting in surprise, he just shrugged. “Not that weird. Just paint.”

"No. Not just paint. Look closer, you dimwit." He teased, smiling to let Amar know this wasn't meant as an insult. He waited a few seconds as Amar studied the wall closely. "You see where it fades slightly around the edges of--what looks like--the shape of a door?"
Amar nodded, leaning back in his seat. “Weird. Wonder if they keep spooky stuff in there,” he snorted, looking away. At this point he just wanted to ignore the weird stuff at this weird school.

"Yeah." Verton said, contemplating. He finished his croissant and stood, dusting himself off. "Back to the dorm so I can give you that money I owe you?" He asked, running a hand through his hair again.
“Back to our perfectly normal dorm, where you owe me nothing.” Amar stood up, wiping his hands on a napkin and crumpling it up before throwing it into the nearest trash can. “Well, hopefully it’s normal, who knows. Maybe there’s a trapdoor under a rug where a creep enters our room every night.”

Verton laughed nervously, scratching his neck. "I... sure hope not." He glanced again at the painted door, a shiver running down his spine, then he turned to leave, dropping his napkin in the waste basket on his way out the door.
Amar followed after him, chuckling at his reaction. “Didn’t think you’d be scared at that kind of stuff, Verton,” he said, stuffing his hands into his pockets.

"What kinda stuff?" Verton asked, playing innocent. He shoved Amar playfully then ran ahead quickly before Amar could get him back. "Catch me if you can!" He called back to Amar. Then dashed off to his dorm.
Amar rolled his eyes, but a smirk was on his face. He chased after Verton, before stopping. His grin widened, and he spread his wings. He flapped them once to get used to them, then shot yo into the sky and followed Verton.
