I am honestly a bit mad at what JK Rowling is saying. A main theme in her books is about the power of love and openness, and I think what she tweeted goes against that. I don't agree at all with what she's said, although I personally prefer being neutral in debates like this.

That being said, I also don't want to boycott the Harry Potter series the way some people are doing. I don't see the point in giving up some of my favorite books in an effort to speak out against their author, because I do still strongly admire what JK Rowling accomplished. I admire and love her work, and I am still going to do that despite the fact that I blatantly disagree with the author's actions and personal opinions.

I hate what J.K. Rowling is saying and I don’t really like her as a person. Harry Potter is all about love and she seems to be contradicting this with her comments. That said, I LOVE hp and probably always will and I agree that I don’t want to give that up. But I won’t be supporting J.K Rowling’s new content, such as the fantastic beasts movies or her new book The Ickabog. And I probably won’t recommend Harry Potter to people who haven’t read it, which I’ve done in the past, because I don’t want to push people to read from a problematic author.
