This vaguely reminds me of iZombie - a tv show available on Netflix. Girl wakes up suddenly a zombie, gets a job at the morgue, works with a detective to solve mysteries. She the opposite of white trash though, so that seems to be where the comparison falls apart.

You have intrigued me. I don't like zombies either, but I might just check this one out.
