Play Book Tag discussion

Prince Gwydion has brought a group of warriors together for a daring plan - to go to Annuvin and steal from the dark lord Arawn the Black Cauldron, which he uses to create the undead Cauldron-Born, deathless warriors for his dark army, and destroy it once and for all.

This is one of my favorite books in the series, second only to the last one which won the Newbery award. It never fails to bring an ache to the heart when certain characters die, and has often made me cry. It's much darker than the first book, but the lessons it teaches children are extremely valuable.

The Disney movie of the same name is a travesty - it's actually based on books 1 & 2 of the series, and totally mangled both stories. My children (who loved the books when I read it aloud to them) and I were extremely upset and outraged when we watched it, and will forever disparage the movie as much as I recommend the books.
