Ilyon Chronicles discussion

Hey everyone! I'm doing something fun for everyone who doesn't have a blog or isn't part of the blog tour, but still wants to participate. During one of the days, I'm going to have a special Q&A post (providing I get enough questions). So if you have a question for me or one of my characters, you can ask it here and I'll answer it during the tour. :) And even if you are part of the tour, you can go ahead and ask some questions too. ;)

Who is your least favorite character to write and why?

How long does it usually take you to finish writing a book?

-How did you come to know Elom?
-How did you end up as chief of security at the castle?
-What was your first impression of Kyrin?
-Considering your position, how are you dealing with the emperor's orders that followers of Elom be executed?

Okay, so as of right now, I have almost 3 pages worth of questions, the majority of them for Jace. XD

Poor Jace. Um ... how about some questions for Daniel. (I don't think he's gotten one yet)

Davira, have followers of Elom actually done harm to the nation or your father? Even if they might not grant him divine authority, have they ever defied or denied his authority in anything other than faith? If so, how?

Anne, how do you cope with the stress and strain of Trask being in danger so much? Tell me, Anne. I want to know. ;)

Daniel, why do you stick around the palace so long?
Daniel, who's your best friend?

William, why are you in the army?

Wow, everyone's response for these Q&A sessions has been awesome! You can keep asking questions if you want, but beyond this point, I can't promise to get to them all. I've had to schedule five separate posts for the questions I have now! But they are going to be incredibly fun. :D

I just saw Addy's questions for the characters on your blog. I didn't know she had any she didn't funnel through me to this group. She comes up with some interesting things. :D

I agree Ghost! That Q&A was fantastic. Poor Jace though. Miss Jaye tell him he needn't be afraid of our questions. We tease him because we love him.:)

When I first started asking for questions, I had no idea I was going to write it up with all of my characters together. I'm glad everyone loved how it turned out. We'll definitely be doing this again for the next tour. :)

Yay! They were so much fun! (Even though we embarrassed poor Jace) I loved the things that happened, the characters' reactions, you interacting with them, and everything else!!! I thought it was funny how you refered to this group as "The Goodreads Ladies" XP

All right everyone, I've decided to have a few more character Q&A posts next month to celebrate Resistance's anniversary. I'll probably have one a week with a total of four or five. So what burning questions do you want to know that weren't answered during my last sessions? You can question any character (just don't let them know I'm planning this "torture" again or they might just disappear on me. :P ). Ask away! I'll have my characters answer as many as they can, though I can't promise they'll be able to answer every single one, especially if there are a lot of them. ;)

Ooh, yay! I'll have to think of some good questions... *grins and rubs hands together* Do they want any snacks baked for them? Because food always helps in stressful situations...

No way! That is so exciting! I literally just logged on now so that I could tell you (Jaye) that I read through all the character Q&As earlier today (in one sitting) and LOVED them. I was actually going to ask you if you'd consider doing it again -- and here you are doing it! I am ecstatic, you have no idea. *fangirls out profusely* I will definitely think of questions. *jumps up and down*

My sisters and I have a question for Jace: What is your dream job?

Addy has one for Daniel: If you finally attained your ultimate goal of being disowned, what you first do, and then what would you do for a living?

Dear Jaye, Jace, Kyrin, Kaden, Daniel, and Davira,
I'm really sorry that I'm doing this to you. Twenty Questions is hard, and yes, I do have twenty questions for you all. But I want to know the answers! So, here they are. *fumbles with an armful of notecards and hands everyone mint chocolate chip ice-cream with crumbled shortbread on top* Please don't be mad. I love you all! Or, at least, most of you.

Jace - If you knew that you had a half-ryrik brother or sister, would you want to meet them? Would you want to meet your parents? Did you trust Kyrin at first? What was the worst part about being a slave and a gladiator?

Kyrin - Do you like living in the woods, or would you rather live somewhere else (if it was completely safe) with your friends and family? Do you consider yourself an introvert, extrovert, or somewhere in the middle, like me? (I’m very slightly an INFJ). If you could do whatever you wanted for a job, what would it be? What do you like to wear, and do you care about fashion? What do you think that the worst thing that could ever happen to you would be?

For Kyrin and Jace - Do you love each other, or just as close/best friends? Have you ever talked about getting married? What were you both thinking when you went hunting together for the first time?

Kaden - Who would you consider your best friend? What are you most afraid of? What do you like to do in your free time (besides eat)?

Daniel - If you wanted to run away, would you have any friends that would help you? Where would you go? What bothers you the most about your sister?

Davira - Are you like your mother in any way, or only like your father? What is your favorite book? Why do you believe in Aertus and Vilai, is it only because you’ve been taught or because you think you have proof? If you do not have proof, then why do you hate the followers of Elôm so much?

These questions are for anyone who knows the answer and wants to answer them (for instance: Jaye, Talas, Leetra, Darq, Kaden, Kyrin, Jace, or anyone else).

Please tell me more about Dragons: What shape are their heads? How large are their heads? How long are their necks? How large are they compared to a person? Do they have any spikes? Are their scales rough or smooth? Do their faces show personality or are they more animal-like?

These are for Michael and Ronny: what do you like to do most in your free time? What do you think of each other? What do you most admire about Kaden? What do you think of Jace?

Here's a couple of questions:

Kaden: would you let Jace marry Kyrin? of course you would :):):):):):)

Kyrin: has there ever been a guy (besides Jace) that you were interested in?

Davira: do you have any care or kindness in your heart?

Daniel: why don't you want to be king?

Leetra: is there anyone special in your life?

Talas: is there a special girl in your life?

Jace, Kyrin, and Kaden: what's your favorite animal?

Jaye, you should write a novella consisting of all these questions and your answers in Q&A session story form. XD

Good idea, Amanda - I thought of something like that too. Nothing like being able to read the supplementary information all in one place. But it might be better to wait a few years in order to included future Q&As as well. And what about adding the character interviews and profiles as well? I was wishing to read all of those together as well. And maybe some fan art, if the fans agree to that? :)

Yes! Like, The Ultimate Ilyon Fan Guide. That would be sweet. And yes, maybe it would be better to wait until the end of the series. It's be cool. And - Jaye, please take note - you should write us Goodreads Girls into it! (Just kidding...sort of.) definitely with fan art, photos, quotes, etc. That would be EPIC.

Back to character questions... I have more for the whole group: do any of you want to remain single for your whole life? What differences between our world and Ilyon strike you the most?

They can too say that. It's their right to say they want to be single. The Author also has the right to make them change their minds later on. :) :)

I expect Jace to expect to be single his whole life - but I don't know if deep down he wants to be married or not at this point.
