If you knew the day of your death, would you try to fight it or would you just accept it?

I felt most for Klara- it's like she didn't necessarily WANT to die, but since her day was coming soon, she had to start her self-destruction. She made her plan FOR her day.

Simon, on the other hand knew he was going to die young. He lived the life he wanted to live knowing the day was coming, but he didn't actively plan for that day.

Kasey (heartofgoldlib) | 2 comments I think I'd go for Simon's tactic. I can't say I wouldn't have the instinct to fight it, but ultimately, I'd want to enjoy what life I have.

Same. And especially since you know you don't have much time.

Katie (ktkasper) | 2 comments I try to live my life with enough planning and wisdom to be secure in the future and with the appetite and wholeheartedness that comes from knowing that no one is promised tomorrow. I think that posing this concept as a binary question with absolute answers is why I couldn't finish the book.
