The Gilded Ones by Namina Forna was the second featured book in the June 2020 box. The theme was A Different Kind of Magic.

I finished this one a little bit ago, and really liked it a lot. I liked how it dealt with issues of patriarchy without feeling too heavy handed, and still being a fun fantasy novel. It was very different, and I'm definitely planning to continue with the series.
I read this back in . . . March, I think. I received an ARC from YALL Fest in November 2019 and saved "The Gilded Ones" for a rainy day.It was 5/5 stars read for me! I loved it!
