I decided to read this one because it's short and sweet and well I have too many other books going on at the same time.

Same here, Doreen! πŸ˜„ I've read both Little Men and Country of the Pointed Firs at least twice anyway so should be able to keep up with conversations, but I'm really swamped with books to read this month!

Haha! Yeah our library just started doing inter-library loans again and I was sooo excited I ordered 3 books that have been on my list for a long time. Now I'm wondering how on earth I'm going to manage to read them plus what I've already committed to read this month! Quite overwhelming, but in a good way! πŸ˜‚

I looked at it this way. It saves me money on books I don't have to buy and it's safer than having to go out with this virus. This way I can download them right to my phone safely within my home.

I'm finding this a very interesting yet confusing book. But maybe that's just me.

Ruth (misselizabethbennett) | 2502 comments I must say, I'm rather disappointed
in the book, it was flat. I am so
grateful it was SHORT!

message 18: by Joanna (new)

Joanna I finally started this today. As usual with Mr. Twain, I find myself chuckling but shaking my head and rolling my eyes at the same time! πŸ˜„

I only gave it 2 stars. It was funny, but just too irreverent. I did love that part about the brontosaurus though! πŸ˜‚

Hi Allyson,
What was it you found to be weird, the whole story or
the brontosaurus? 😢

message 26: by Allyson (new)

Allyson Jamison | 170 comments I don't think I made it past the first paragraph. πŸ˜‚ I don't know, it was just WAY different than Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
