It’s quite neat in here, candles are always lit and incense is lit in their place when they’re not. It smells like lavender and how you’d imagine the colour blue. She has crystals and books on various shelves. The windows are always open for her cat, Baudelaire, hop on and sit when he wants to.

You can’t hide forever.
I will find you, Caspian.
My perfect little doll.
Eleonora’s voice rang in Cas’ head. She barely had the strength to collapse onto her bed, hyperventilating. She’d lost him.
You should’ve shut your mouth.
You never know when to shut up.

Danny ran. He was almost there, almost....he made it.
he froze.
the door was broken off its hinges, the windows were shattered.
nononononono. Dante shook his head, and slowly, set his magic off. They had to be alive. They had to.
Right?

Right?
He entered the house, stepping over the broken door, and searched the house. The living room was wrecked, same with every part of the house. "Kiara?" He whispered, stepping into the kids' room. Then, he froze.
A small, slight whimper came out of him.
No.
No.
NO.
He stared at the bodies that laid on the floor in front of him. They were terribly managled, burned beyond recognition. But he knew who they were.
no.
Dante fell to his knees. He was too late.
They were dead.

Dante fell to his knees. He was too late.
They were dead.
There was a note, one written in deep red, almost black, blood.
I see you’ve tampered with my doll. Touch her again, and I’ll send her to you in pieces.
Eleonora.

Eleonora.
Dante stared at it, then at his hands. He found the note on his sister's dead body. He has blood on his hands.
So much blood.
Maybe time passes, maybe not. All Dante did was sit there, and stare...stare at nothing. He was empty. He felt nothing.
He was alone.

Cas could feel distress. Distress of those she was close to. And she felt it now. Strongly. She dragged herself out of bed, running to where the feeling led her. She stumbled upon the scene, and felt her knees give out. She felt sick.
“Dante.. I’m... im so sorry..” she murmured, tears pricking behind her eyes.
“Dante.. I’m... im so sorry..” she murmured, tears pricking behind her eyes.
Dante didn't say a word. He didn't know what to say. Thank you? Why are you here? He didn't know. He shoulders sagged. Tears pricked at his eyes.
They were gone.
Truly gone.
*get in my nookie and face the chaos*
They were gone.

Cas didn’t know what to do either. He surely didn’t want to see her. And now all he had was gone. Because of her.
This was her fault.
This was her fault.
Something wet falls onto Dante's cheek.
Tears.
He was crying.
He left out a sob, then clasped a hand over his mouth. He had no reason to cry in front of the girl who lost everything. "They're gone." he said finally. "They're actually gone. Forever." He internally cursed himself. Of course they're gone forever. Not like you can resurrect them, can you, Dante?

(HOLY SHIT
MATTEO IS A NECROMANCY WITCH)
“I know, I know.” Cas said, pulling him to her so he didn’t have to look at the mangled, charred bodies. If he pushed her away, that was fine. She just.. couldn’t see him in agony like this. She wrapped her arms around him, murmuring things like, “it’s gonna be okay,” and, “you’re gonna get through this.”

Dante cried.
He let Cas hold her, and he cried. He knows he shouldn't; hell, the whole reason why they'rein this mess is because of that, but he needs someone right now.
And if that someone is her, he'll deal.
"This is a wonderful sight, isn't it?" Dante felt Cas' body go steel, and her voice turned cold.

Cas didn’t dare turn. She didn’t dare move. She wouldn’t even breathe much to try and get this to all end.
Dante did turn.
All the breath went out of his body.
"Eleonora." It was a word, a whisper parents said to their witch children to keep them under control. A word that terrified adults around Cas' age.
And that word was standing right in front of them.

Cas slowly stood, her ebony black hair going from a pool on the ground to a graceful display of curls going down her back.
“Mother.” The word was a hiss, like it left a bad taste on her tongue. She finally faced Eleonora now, fists clenched.
The woman really was beautiful. Well, beautiful for a monster. She had straight black hair and amber eyes, with sunkissed skin.

Dante stared at the woman. Stared at Cas. He could see it, now, the resemblance.
The dark hair.
The movement of the eyes and lips.
How didn't he see it before?
"What do you want." He commanded of Eleonora. He was tired of this woman's bullshit. She killed his family, took away everything that he knew. Now he wanted to hurt.
Now he wanted to take everything away.

“Give me my doll.” Eleonora said calmly, though her eyes held a wrath. She held her hand out to Cas, daring her to take her hand.
Dante's eyes flickered between Cas and Eleonora. He had a decision to make, in a way. He stepped in front of Cas. "No. She's not yours to play with." His hands flickered with something purple.
Eleonora cackled, throwing her head back.
“I made her. For a purpose much greater than what she chooses to do with you. She’s mine.” Her words were venom.

Dante's eyes flickered with a purple light. "I don't give a rat ass about what you did. She isn't yours. She is never yours, nor anyone else's, except for herself."

“She knows what her purpose is. That’s why she’s been running. But I have eyes everywhere, dear Dante. I saw what you did. I won’t allow her to bear another worthless child into this world.” Eleonora hissed, snatching Cas by her arm.
Dante's eye twitched. "I am not playing fucking games. Let go of her. NOW." He clenched his hands, and Chaos slowly bloomed there. "Or, you will just face the consequences, you murderous bitch."
Eleonora raised her hand to create a golden net, shimmering with magic. She held Cas to her, her hand a vice grip on her daughters.
Dante lashed out with his Chaos, right towards Eleonora. His Chaos was a deadly thing, something he had to always keep under wraps, for he could've been killed.
Or worse.
Chaos was one of the more powerful elements, able to send a soul to The Void, and never return.

Eleonora stumbled back, stunned by the sheer force of Dante’s attack. She grabbed Cas, her voice a hiss in her ear.
“I’ll be back for you, my doll.”
And she vanished in glittering golden smoke.

Dante blinked. He didn't expect it to be that easy.
Unless, of course, it wasn't that easy.
He made his way over to Cas, who had fell to the floor, when a creak echoes through the room. Dante turns; the room never had no creaks, hi--
Something knocks into the side of his head.
He blacks out.

Cas woke up a couple minutes later. She’d hit the ground hard.
Dante felt himself in the inky darkness. Whatever the hell hit him, must've hit him hard. His body hurt, and he knew, when he woke up, it would hurt even worse. Like a bitch.
Cas crawled over to Dante, on her knees beside him. Her magic wrapped around him, hoping to tug him back from unconsciousness.
Dante looked around. A string of light...there. He saw black spots at his vision, and he knew. He just knew.
He was dying.
He tried to swim towards the string of light, tried to grab it.
He was dying.
He tried to swim towards the string of light, tried to grab it.
Cas dug her fingers into the ground, pouring every ounce of herself into her magic. Her eyes glowed, her entire body was shaking.
Dante grabbed the string of light, then gasped. Fuck.
fuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuck.
He climbed it, then felt himself falling. No. Get up, Dante. You still have someone to kill. He opened his eyes. Took another step.

Cas laid one hand on Dorian’s chest, her touch glowing with deep blue.
“You can do this. C’mon, Dante. For me.” For the baby.
“You can do this. C’mon, Dante. For me.” For the baby.
He took another step. Then, he fell away to into the darkness.
Dante jolted awake. He sat up, panting. "What. The. Fuck. Was. That." He looks around. The room around him is black and covered in soot, and it is beginning to snow.

Cas gulped and removed her hand, her eyes returning to their ordinary blue.
“My mother. That’s what that was.” She murmured, looking away.
“My mother. That’s what that was.” She murmured, looking away.
Dante sighed. "Your mother almost killed me. In my dead family's house." He didn't look around. Couldn't look around. He got up, then paused as the world spun around him. "Woah."
Cas steadied him, biting her lower lip.
“I know. I’m sorry. I... i should’ve been able to stop her.”
“I know. I’m sorry. I... i should’ve been able to stop her.”
Dante wrenched himself out of Cas' grip. "You? It's because of you that we're in this mess in the first place! And her talking about, talking about.." He winced, and gripped his mind. "Fuck. It hurts to even think."
“I didn’t choose to be her daughter. I didn’t choose any of this. I’m sorry, Dante. I can give myself up to her if you want me to. Then all of this would stop. I’d be her pawn.” Cas said, her voice low.
Dante shook his head. "No, no, no.." He paused. "Fuck. She said baby?" He looked at her. "We have a godfucking baby?"
Cas stumbled back, suddenly dizzy.
“What did you expect to happen?” She swallowed thickly, blue eyes wide.
