To kick off October, I thought we’d start with something a bit more creepy... today’s challenge is to write a short story, poem, or paragraph about hearing voices. It can be as open ended and mysterious or clear and concise as you want. However you interpret this prompt is up to you! Good luck!

I hear their screams inside my head
From the time I wake up to the time i go to bed
How i wish there was silence in their stead
But my wishes are denided

How do I get the away
Send them on a different way
But it's useless they're there night and day
And I'm trapped in my own mind.

They've taken my body and made it their own
They've made sure I'm always alone
I can't do anything; I'm my own clone
I'm trapped here

Your voice echos in my mind
bouncing,

bouncing,
between my ears,
getting louder, not softer

Your words pour into my ears
and drain down into my heart
where they
pound,
pound,
pound.


I cover my ears,
I try to run.

stop.
