"I was contemplating putting that one down as well. Beyond brilliant.
Birthright: The book of man by Mike Resnick.Such a good analysis of the human nature on a fictional history line where humanity conquer the stars.
Le Chœur des Femmes, by Martin Winckler. (Read this one in French, I have no idea if it exists in another language yet actually)
Oh goodness, I can only do 1? I’m going to have to go with The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes by Suzanne Collins.
Choosing one is going to be fun because I absolutely want a whole bunch of books for everyone to read, but, I'm going to go ahead and choose,This Is How It Always Is - Laurie Frankel

I loved that one!
The Forgotten Beasts of Eld
I don't want to give anything away, but it has a power that the synopsis barely touches upon.
The Turn of the Key by Ruth Ware!!! This was the first book in at least a year that made it to my favourites list!
The Magic Strings of Frankie Presto by Mitch Albom. This is like one of my all-time favorite books. :)
Oh riiiiight, now I remember, the bookshelf wasn't done yet when I read through everything - guess that's why I forgot about it lol. Sorry!

Lastly, I will only be taking 1 recommendation per person, so if you leave multiple (incase someone else picks yours) please note which is your priority.
Edit - It does not have to be a recent book.
