I really, really need to read it! It's on my list for Christmas :)

ATheReader (athereaderofbooks) | 2746 comments I also loved this book. Such a needed YA book and it was done SO well.

Booktastically Amazing (booktasticallyamazing) | 1477 comments This book literally made me feel all the emotions under the SUN. Such a fundamentally good YA novel! Chills, squeals, punches were my companions throughout this story. Seriously. All of THAT.

Amelie | 675 comments Yes, it was so eye-opening in raising awareness about issues like police brutality and racism, which are definetely relevant to our society today!

ATheReader (athereaderofbooks) | 2746 comments I would try to get the audiobook but knowing my loan system that would take a LONG time

Oh, I read this recently! I liked it. I wasn't crazy about the writing, to be honest - I kind of felt like it told me a lot of things instead of showing me them. But I do think it's a very important and powerful book and definitely a classic.

Agreed. That's why I liked the movie better, but the book was definitely really powerful.

Luna (luna13) Really great book. It’s got some messages that are important at the moment. And on a light-hearted note, I love the HP references that the characters make.
