I really loved this one. It was one of my favorite books :)
This book literally made me feel all the emotions under the SUN. Such a fundamentally good YA novel! Chills, squeals, punches were my companions throughout this story. Seriously. All of THAT.
Yes, it was so eye-opening in raising awareness about issues like police brutality and racism, which are definetely relevant to our society today!
i absolutely loved this one i read it this summer, it is a very needed book and other than that it was very well written.
I'm glad you are enjoying it, it's amazing
The Prequel just came out. It's about her dad. I gave it a 9.5/10 read it in under 20 hours. cried, cheered. I recommend reading it. "Concrete Rose" is the name.
ooh! i'm going to get the prequel soon i think
have you guys read on the come up? I've bought THUG and on the come up, and I've read them both at least 3 times (or 4).
Yes! It's so good, and I have to wait for weeks to read Concrete Rose because I want the audiobook :(
i started reading On The Come Up than school got in the way and i never picked it back up. trust me when you get Concrete Rose you’re gonna wanna read THUG over again 😭🤚🏾
Oh, I read this recently! I liked it. I wasn't crazy about the writing, to be honest - I kind of felt like it told me a lot of things instead of showing me them. But I do think it's a very important and powerful book and definitely a classic.

Really great book. It’s got some messages that are important at the moment. And on a light-hearted note, I love the HP references that the characters make.
