I finished one this month The Other Wife.It was the last book that I needed to read and review from 2019.
It was a good domestic suspense, but it just wasn't great for me. It was slow and it was like she was trying too hard to put in twists and turns.
I am still behind on some reads, but am hoping to read one more past publication this month, plus one that publishes in January called The Wife Upstairs. I saw some other people had this one too, so I look forward to your thoughts.
i haven't been on here in a while, but my goals right now are to finish "True grit", start "Perks of being a Wallflower", continue "Out of the Silent Planet" and start-finish "Peter and the starcatchers". Wish me luck, im just now getting back into reading.
Vicki Willis wrote: "II am still behind on some reads, but am hoping to read one more past publication this month, plus one that publishes in January called The Wife Upstairs. I saw some other people had this one too, so I look forward to your thoughts."I have that one to read this month too.
I'm hoping to get through 3 (or maybe 4) by the end of the month. I still have two that are past publication and I was hoping to read them this month, but the month has gotten away from me, which seems to happen every December.
So, I added another book. I received a widget for A Caller's Game
by J.D. Barker. I have really enjoyed everything I've read by him so of course I accepted. Add one more chunky one to the pile. I guess at least the pub dates are somewhat spread out. I have 2 for each month (except April) Jan through May. I need to start backing off new additions before I end up overwhelmed again. Right now I only have two past pub, but those January dates will be here before I know it.
I finished another one this month. It publishes in January so I am feeling accomplished that I am started 2021 right! lol
The Wife UpstairsI loved it! I thought I was going to give it 4 stars, but as I was writing my review I changed to 5.
I know some of you also grabbed this one so I can't wait to see how you liked it.
Oh! and I added one that I thought was publishing in March, The June Boys
, BUT it was March of 2020! lolSo I am one more book behind!

I can't wait to get to that one. So glad you loved it. I haven't done hardly any reading in the past week. I listened to one review book for about an hour and that's it! It's been that kind of week. I'm hoping it picks up again soon or I'm going to be far behind again.
I hate when I get books that have already published. It's like I don't know where to put them in my lineup. lol I usually try to get them done in 3 months, but honestly I'd probably just use the March 2021 date for that one.

Which was an ok 3 star read. Best for those more forgiving of YA tropes.
Also, just couldn't get into
so despite a number of attempts, I'm dnf-ing

Oh gosh... added another. At least this one is just a cookbook. I'll probably have it done quickly.
The Meat-Free Kitchen: Super Delicious Plant-Based Meals and Snacks for Every Meal, All Day
I finished another one.
Follow MeAnother 5 star read for me! I don't do a lot of social media, but found that part of the story fascinating.
There was an author's note explaining how she got her inspiration for this book that was also interesting.
A quick! 2 day read for me. I haven't done that in a while.
I finally finished a book this month. It was a cookbook that I just added this month, but at least I finished it. I have a couple of others I am hoping to finish before the end of the year, but I haven't been reading much the past couple of weeks.

You may have all seen that Netgalley had a data breach and we need to change our passwords. ☹️
It’s also a good idea to change your password if you use the same one on any other site. (If so, it may be time to start using a password manager so you have unique passwords for every website)

Oh no! I did not see that. Thanks for letting us know.
Just checked my email and it was there. Ugh.
Another oldie done

Although I didn't *love* it, I would read more by the author and it was an easy enough read by the pool
And also managed to get through this one which I started a year ago
It wasn't the book's fault, just a small thing called COVID which drew my attention elsewhere at work this year!!

holidays gave me my best month in a long time with 4 finished and 0 added.
rating is at 95% and only 6 on my shelf. I guess I need to start adding again? lol

That’s great, Karen! I had the opposite kind of month, but I’m still not looking too bad. I started the month with 8 on my shelf and added 4, then read one of my adds. I’m ending the month with 11 on my shelf, but my ratio is still around 95% (on the app now so I can’t check the exact number) and all but two publish in 2021.
I didn't make as much progress as I wanted because there were just too many other books that I needed to complete before the end of the year. But at least I finished and reviewed 3!NetGalley Challenge – December
