Sandi: Nice month, I enjoyed The Searcher too.The audio books on your list sound good (pun intended, lol) ; with a lot going on in Correspondents, excellent narration would be of top importance.
I like the term "deliberately-paced" for The Searcher. I kept saying it was slow-paced but that has negative connotations and I didn't dislike the pace. It was a good book; glad you enjoyed it, too!
I’m always amazed by the vast variety of books read by board members. There are so many authors I haven’t even heard of, much less read.

Here are my November reads:
Top Reads
Correspondents - Tim Murphy
There was a lot going on with this book but it was all handled well and I really found the two main characters and their stories very compelling. Listened to the audio version which was narrated by Necar Zadegan and Assaf Cohen who were both excellent.
The Searcher - Tana French
Another well written though deliberately paced work with the usual excellent characterizations and engaging writing style that I have come to expect from the author.
Good Reads
Rumpole and the Primrose Path - John Mortimer
Rumpole is back, though a little worse for the wear, in this entertaining collection of stories featuring the Old Bailey Hack. Listened to the audio which was ably read by Bill Wallis.
Earthlings - Sayaka Murata
I really enjoyed the author's previous work Convenience Store Woman and while this work explored some of the same themes it was much more out there and graphic in spots. Listened to the audio version which was narrated by Nancy Wu who did a great job.
