message 2: by Roxanne (new)

Roxanne Shriver (roxannexshriver) Ryou knelt beside one of many graves, reading the inscription. It was pretty worn, near impossible to make out. The Brit frowned lightly. "Hmm..."

message 3: by Bill (new)

Bill (incredibill) | 246 comments Many Zombie-Type and Spirit effect-type monsters wandered almost aimlessly around. Most didn't even seen to notice the human amongst them.

message 5: by Roxanne (new)

Roxanne Shriver (roxannexshriver) It took him a while, but eventually Ryou noticed the duel monsters wandering around. Brown eyes wide, he gasped, "Oh! Wow!"

message 6: by Bill (new)

Bill (incredibill) | 246 comments This startled a little dark blue ghost beast. It screamed and tore in half and the two halves became separate little dark blue ghosts beast. It was a Double Coston (Zombie-Type/ Effect Monster/ DARK/ Level 4/ ATK 1700/ DEF 1650).

message 7: by Roxanne (last edited Feb 04, 2015 06:08AM) (new)

Roxanne Shriver (roxannexshriver) Ryou immediately approached the two, not frightened in the least. 'A Double Coston... but without a duelist?' He seemed delighted by the idea. 'Just what kind of world is this?'

message 8: by Bill (new)

Bill (incredibill) | 246 comments The Double Coston began to glow brightly before they burst into duel energy. The dark energy began to swirl and come together as one. The energy began to grow rapidly until it finally took form. The dark energy turned red as a new monster materialized. It was a Red Ogre (Zombie-Type/ Effect Monster/ EARTH/ Level 8/ ATK 2800/ DEF 2100). He chortled darkly as he looked down on the smaller human boy. "Well look what we have here~" The beast nearly drooled.

message 9: by Roxanne (new)

Roxanne Shriver (roxannexshriver) "I'm Ryou," he stared up at it in amazement. "Are... Are you real?"

message 10: by Bill (new)

Bill (incredibill) | 246 comments "Sure I am. I'm REAL HUNGRY!" He growled and reached for Ryou with his huge hand.

message 11: by Roxanne (new)

Roxanne Shriver (roxannexshriver) He ducked underneath him, looking surprisingly unafraid. If anything, he was fascinated. "And you can talk, too! Amazing."

message 12: by Bill (new)

Bill (incredibill) | 246 comments "A fighter huh? Well I know how to deal with your kind." The Red Ogre attached a duel disk to his wrist. "When I take your life points to 0, you'll be too weak to fight and I'll feast on your bones!"

message 13: by Roxanne (new)

Roxanne Shriver (roxannexshriver) "A duel monster dueling? How bizarre!" He laughed a little as he whipped out his own duel disk. "Alright, how about I go first?"

message 14: by Bill (new)

Bill (incredibill) | 246 comments "Fine take the first steps to your death!" The ogre laughed wickedly. They each had 4000 life points.

message 15: by Roxanne (new)

Roxanne Shriver (roxannexshriver) Ryou smiled widely as he drew his first card, quickly playing two traps and a facedown monster card. "I end my turn."

Ryou's LP: 4000
Field: M- 1 facedown, S/T- 2 facedown
Hand: 3
Graveyard: empty

message 16: by Bill (new)

Bill (incredibill) | 246 comments The Red Ogre laughed wickedly. "Very well. I play this monster face-down and end my turn."

LP: 4000
M: 1 (face-down)
S/T: 0
Hand: 4
Graveyard: 0

message 17: by Roxanne (new)

Roxanne Shriver (roxannexshriver) The Brit frowned slightly. "What, that's all?" He sounded disappointed, as though he hadn't done just that his previous turn.

He drew his next card, and played it. His Lady of Faith manifested before him, dashing forward and attacking the facedown card.

message 18: by Bill (new)

Bill (incredibill) | 246 comments The card flipped revealing a Pyramid Turtle. The Ogre laughed hard. "Foolish human!" Being that Pyramid Turtle had a 1400 DEF compared the Lady's 1100 ATK, Ryou lost 300 Life Points.

message 19: by Roxanne (new)

Roxanne Shriver (roxannexshriver) He cried out as his lifepoints dropped. 'This zombie's pretty good at this...' he thought to himself, starting to get a little worried. 'I'll have to be careful.'

"...I'll end my turn," he said after a moment, watching to see what his opponent would do.

Ryou's LP: 3700
Field: M- 1 facedown, S/T- 2 facedown
Hand: 3
Graveyard: Lady of Faith

message 20: by Bill (last edited Feb 12, 2015 11:02PM) (new)

Bill (incredibill) | 246 comments He laughed and drew his card. "I activate the spell card Ground Collapse!" Suddenly two of the monster zones on Ryou's side turned into bottomless pits, becoming unusable. "And now I'll lay two face downs and summon Goblin Zombie in attack mode! Your move morsel."

Red Ogre's LP: 4000
Field: M- Pyramid Turtle, Goblin Zombie ; S/T- Ground Collapse, 2 face-downs
Hand: 1
Graveyard: Empty

message 21: by Roxanne (new)

Roxanne Shriver (roxannexshriver) He cried out in alarm as his monsters were swallowed up. 'No! My strategy!'

Sweating slightly, the boy croaked, "When... When my Sangan is destroyed, it allows me to draw a monster directly from my deck. My other monster was LaLa Li-Oon, so that one goes to the graveyard without any special effects.

He added a monster to his hand, then drew to start his turn. After a moment, he placed another facedown trap card and revealed the other two. "I play Call of the Haunted to bring my Lady of Faith back to the field, in attack mode. I also play Curse of Darkness, a continuous trap card. Now we take 1000 points of damage whenever we use a spell card."

message 22: by Bill (last edited Feb 19, 2015 09:39PM) (new)

Bill (incredibill) | 246 comments "Pathetic! I'll be picking youe bones from my teeth in no time!" The Ogre laughed hard. "End your turn so I may crush you!"

message 23: by Roxanne (last edited Feb 24, 2015 12:11PM) (new)

Roxanne Shriver (roxannexshriver) The frail boy glared at his opponent, but he did as he said.

Ryou's LP: 3700
Field: M- Lady of Faith (attack), S/T- 1 facedown, Curse of Darkness
Hand: 3
Graveyard: Sangan, LaLa Li-Oon

message 24: by Bill (new)

Bill (incredibill) | 246 comments The Red Ogre drew his card. "Now Goblin Zombie, attack his Lady of Faith!" He laughed boisterously, sending the monster to attack Ryou's monster with the same Attack points.

message 25: by Roxanne (new)

Roxanne Shriver (roxannexshriver) He looked startled by the attack, even as his monster shattered. "Wait, why would you-?"

message 26: by Bill (last edited Mar 05, 2015 09:51AM) (new)

Bill (incredibill) | 246 comments When the Goblin Zombie shattered as well the Red Ogre laughed. "Now his effect activates. When Goblin Zombie is destroyed in battle, I may search my deck for a Zombie with 1200 or less DEF and add it to my hand."

The beast searched his deck and drew a card. "I choose Zombie Master. And then summon him to the field and end my turn." The ogre laughed.

Red Ogre's LP: 4000
Field: M- Pyramid Turtle, Zombie Master ; S/T- Ground Collapse, 2 face-downs
Hand: 2
Graveyard: Goblin Zombie

message 27: by Roxanne (new)

Roxanne Shriver (roxannexshriver) 'So that's why... Geez, I really need to be careful with this guy!' The Brit folded his arms across his chest, his brow furrowed.

"... Why do you want to eat me anyways?" he asked after a moment. "Just because you're an ogre, or what?"

message 28: by Bill (new)

Bill (incredibill) | 246 comments "The living are nothing but a snack for us! But the Duel King has said that any duelists that come into our territory are to be put down immediately."

message 29: by Roxanne (new)

Roxanne Shriver (roxannexshriver) The boy looked sideways at him, frowning slightly. He had been trying to buy some time before, but now he was genuinely curious. "Duel King?"

message 30: by Bill (new)

Bill (incredibill) | 246 comments "Enough talk! Make your move!" He'd only say more if he lost.

message 31: by Roxanne (last edited Mar 09, 2015 03:42PM) (new)

Roxanne Shriver (roxannexshriver) Ryou looked disappointed by that, but he went ahead and drew his next card. "...I place one trap card facedown and end my turn."

The instant it became his opponent's turn, the boy revealed one of his traps. "I play the trap card Destiny Board, starting with the letter F!"

The frail boy glared at his opponent, but he did as he said.

Ryou's LP: 3700
Field: M- empty / S/T- 1 facedown, Curse of Darkness, Destiny Board (F)
Hand: 3
Graveyard: Sangan, LaLa Li-Oon, Lady of Faith

message 32: by Bill (new)

Bill (incredibill) | 246 comments The Red Ogre drew his card. "Now I'll activate Zombie Master's effect. By discarding a zombie monster from my hand I can special summon another Zombie from my graveyard. So I bring back Goblin Zombie! Now all three attack for 4100 damage!" He laughed wickedly.

message 33: by Roxanne (new)

Roxanne Shriver (roxannexshriver) Ryou almost panicked for a second, before he suddenly remembered his unactivated trap card. Still, sweat raced down his jawline as he croaked, "I-I activate mirror force to negate that attack!"

message 34: by Bill (new)

Bill (incredibill) | 246 comments All three of the Ogre's monsters were destroyed by her trap, and because their effects only worked when destroyed in battle Goblin Zombie and Pyramid Turtle didn't special summon any new monsters. "You little-! Fine! I'll play one card face down and end my turn!"

message 35: by Roxanne (new)

Roxanne Shriver (roxannexshriver) Phew, that was way too close! Ryou wiped at his forehead, closing his eyes as he struggled to calm his breathing. It wouldn't do any good to lose his cool here... If he had learned anything from Yugi and the others, it was that you had to believe in your deck.

Even so, the boy no longer seemed as confident as he had once been.

message 36: by Bill (new)

Bill (incredibill) | 246 comments "It's no matter! A zombie deck is strongest from its graveyard! Make your move so I can feed on your bones!"

message 37: by Roxanne (last edited Mar 20, 2015 03:52PM) (new)

Roxanne Shriver (roxannexshriver) He swallowed thickly and drew and looked back over his hand. "... I'll place a monster facedown on the field, as well as a spell/trap card. Then I'll end my turn." He's have to be a bit more cautious... he couldn't lose this, no matter what!

Ryou's LP: 3700
Field: M- 1 facedown / S/T- 1 facedown, Curse of Darkness, Destiny Board (F) (I)
Hand: 3
Graveyard: Sangan, LaLa Li-Oon, Lady of Faith
