Hello everyone! I am wrapping up this week's reading! I managed to read 2 out of the 3 books i was hoping to read, and i am really pleased with my progress!
So, my week started with
, a fantasy novel taking place in Middle Ages. Knights, kingdoms, swords and much blood. I gave it 3/5 stars. Then, i completed this one
, one more war-themed book. I must say i really really enjoyed it and i am looking forward to read more books by this author. I gave this one 4/5 stars.A total of 473 pages for me!
Can't wait for next month's challenge! <3
I finished Educated, though that wasn't my book for this month, and suggest if you haven't and enjoy memoirs to give it a go. I just found out her mom wrote one aswell.I met my goal of less than 100 pages in Catwoman: Soulstealer. I can't say I'd recommend it unless you specifically enjoy Catman or SJMaas. I'm glad I chose it for the read-a-thon to make progress on because the plot has slowed a bit in terms of entertainment.
I had a bit of a dud of a week. I did good reading wise but the books I read I didn't necessary enjoy all that much.I finished four books:
I started off with The Case of the Missing Marquess a book that totally did not fit the challenge but my hold came through and i thought I could get it out of the way.
then I read: Teddy Spenser Isn't Looking for Love which was fine but the writing style felt a little rushed.
I Will Be Okay This was a strong debut book but it just didnt hit the mark for me, I enjoyed it but didnt love it.
And Then I Turned Into a Mermaid This I was plainly not in the age group for and what would've felt funny for a preteen just fell flat on me. If you get grossed out by snot and such this is not a book I would recommend. The family dynamic however was lovely
I also read 240 pages of That Feeling When Which I am enjoying so far.
and 304 pages of The Lightness of Hands which was my best read this week. I love Jeff Garvin's style of writing. It had a really fresh and realistic take on bipolar disorder. The topic of the book did stress me out at times but that is just how good the audiobook has been.
total books finished 5 and 2 books started
total pages read: 1468

I Reread
which Is a Nice romance with the fake boyfriend trope/cliche I lo..."I was able to finish my two books. However, I would not recommend Tropic of Cancer and Essays on Histeria is for someone interested in psychology as a study subject. I enjoyed it, though!
I'm a little late to posting, but I did want to share what I read. I chose
I know a lot of reviewers didn't like the book, but I thought it was hilarious. Not in a slapstick kind of way, but a dry kind of humor. The back blurb compares it it to The Office or Office Space, but I didn't find it to be silly humor. It's more the fact that the main character and my husband are so similar. If you have read the book you'll know what I mean.
