ꪑꪖᦔꫀꪶ꠸ꪀꫀ I know one thing that is crucial to some people (it may not work for all), is to plan out your characters background, appearances, and just everything that makes a character first before starting the story. It can help some writers with creating dialogue for them and whatnot :)

What I have learned is that you better plan out everything so that if you need a piece of info for the future you don’t have to try and find the page that it was on. Good tip, Maddie!!

YES!!! I try to outline every single chapter before I write and if I don't, I always have a general idea of what I want to happen with what I'm writing in the moment.

i have a tip. i read an article and it said to not edit a lot of things until you are completely done with your novel. then go back and edit. get your first draft done so you can feel completed.
