Steal the Demon by Robert Roth. Kimiko's hasn't been the same since her father's arrest and she wants to get back at the powerful organization that caused it... and a mysterious hacker can help Kimiko succeed. So far it's been an amazing read with brilliant characters.
actually listening to a four part podcast about Operation Julie by Stephen Bentley. Biggest drug bust in the UK in the 70s.
Ashamed to admit I'm reading... nothing :(In between drafting my current novel and researching my next one, I don't have any spare time for actual reading - which, for an author, is really bad. *smacks self*

Same here, John. I've got a huge backlog to get through. At the moment The Maze Runner series is my next to-read.

Not currently reading sci-fi, but a collection of horror (“Horrorology” Neil Gaiman). Thanks for starting the group, Craig!
Currently reading Artemis by Andy Weir. My next series is set on an asteroid so I've been reading as many stories based in an artificial atmosphere for inspiration. Has been very helpful. Weir's scientific background gives a lot of elements within the worldbuilding a very realistic feel, which aids in character development too!

You're welcome Amy, thanks for joining. Hopefully it continues to grow.
That book sounds 100% up my street, would you recommend?

It's great so far, a collection of short horror stories....my apologies, it is curated by Steve Jones with illustrations by Clive Barker. I guess I just love Neil Gaiman so much that I put his name.
"Ashamed to admit I'm reading... nothing"But now... I've picked up a selection of current best sellers in the horror space, for holiday reading next month. Mainly to refresh my memory of the genre, see what's current, and finally decide whether I want to start a new pen name and write some of my own!
