Hello everyone! I had very big reading plans for March but life got in the way so Iv’e barely gotten the chance. I have been reading the Maze Runner with a friend and just barely started Gone.
My life has also gotten busy :| I was planning on finishing 5 books this month well at least 3 and I haven’t even finished the 2 I’m reading
Maze runner is sooooooooo gooooood!!
Maze runner is sooooooooo gooooood!!
I feel like when I was younger I was a much more vivacious reader and I could have finished a book like the Maze Runner in a day. Or maybe I just had more time on my hands. But now that I’ve started writing my own book I pay a lot of attention to the structure of a sentence, punctuation marks, and what was going through the author’s head as they wrote it. So where I used to just zip through the pages I now pay a lot of attention to the flow and style of the writing. Tbh I wish I could read as much as when I was younger. I would often read like a 500 page book in two day at the most. But now I have more stuff I have to do, more stuff I want to do, and I simply don’t read as fast anymore.
Oh yeah, probably its the time, but same with me, my reading speed has not decreased though, but I pay a lot of attention now to the style of writing.
Yeah I understand..now we just keep thinking about a few lines, how it could have a hidden meaning, how well written it is, and all that. Observation basically :)
I was thinking of posting my short stories online. Does anyone know a website or something for that? I was thinking maybe Wattpad but I’m not sure
My next door neighbor gave me a couple books for my birthday today. Everything, Everything and The sun is also a star by Nicola Yoon. I also bought some books from half price books. H2O by Virginia Bergin and Me, and Earl, and the dying girl by Jesse andrews
My April TBR:Twilight- Stephanie Meyer (don’t ask me why)
To kill a mockingbird- Harper Lee
Gone- Michael Grant
Me and Earl and the Dying girl- Jesse Andrews
The tigers daughter- K Arsenault Rivera
H2O- Virginia Bergin
Everything Everything- Nicola Yoon
The sun is also a star- Nicola Yoon
The unlikelies- Carrie Firestone
And also, hopefully if I finish all of those then also We were liars by E. lockheart
I just found out that my sister has the entire Maze Runner series, and she just lent me the other books in the series. I’m super excited to get started. I watched the first movie last night and it was a bit different from the books, but it was interesting to see how they adapted it. I’m also pretty excited to watch Me and Earl and the Dying girl, the book was awesome and the movie looks great, but it’s not in any streaming services for free so unfortunately if I want to watch it I’m going to have to pay...
The other day I got some glasses. We had to wait about two months since my eye appointment for them. Everything looks super clear now, I’m near sighted so things like reading and writing look fine but I need glasses to see thing far away clearly. I used to think that I had normal vision but with these glasses it’s so much better. I like watching tv more because I can actually see things instead of blobs of color and it makes the TVs look super clear like their 4K
I REALLY want to read the rest of Leigh Bardugo’s Grishaverse books because the show just came out and I want to read the books first, but I already have so many books I haven’t finished yet and I don’t want to buy more until I finish those. The struggles of being a bookworm...
