Play Book Tag discussion

This book is told from the point of view of a nine-year-old boy as he tells of what is happening to his family and family friends in Libya in 1979. The boy felt quite emotionally distant from what is happening, and as we see events from the boy’s perspective, the reader does not have much background information on what is actually going on, and I would have preferred some of the issues to be covered in much more depth.
