Sandi (sandin954) | 1276 comments Hello everyone.

Another slow month but all were entertaining.

Here are my March reads:

Top Reads

Snap - Belinda Bauer
Another winner from this author who has become one of my all time favorites. A great blend of interesting characters, an intriguing story, and dark humor.

The Thursday Murder Club - Richard Osman
A really fun listen. Loved all the characters, the plot moved along at a brisk pace, and had just the right mix of humor. Listened to the audio version which was expertly narrated by Lesley Manville.

Good Read

Second Chance - Jonathan Valin
Published back in the early nineties, this is a reliably good PI series set in Cincinnati. Harry Stoner specializes in cases that feature very dysfunctional families and this entry, while dark, was well written with an engaging plot. Listened to the audio version which was narrated by Mark Peckham who did a fine job.

Bonnie really liked Snap too. 4 stars and wrote - Catchy story and characters. I was really more interested in the children and their survival than the mystery, which was OK but not really a big surprise.

Ann (annrumsey) | 17077 comments Nice list Sandi, and always nice to have stellar narrators. I really liked Snap too, a top read for me. I really should get to more Belinda Bauer books.

I agree the family situation was one of the highlights of the story. I also enjoyed the interactions among the police. Bauer frequently has very interesting and realistic children in her books,

Dawn, I agree with Ann but then I don't think you can go wrong with a Bauer book.
