What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

The story is about a girl who is constantly kicked out of school because her powers keep flaring up when her emotions are high. She is later is sent to a school that she assumes is only for rich kids but is actually a school full of witches. She has no idea she's a witch until being sent to the school. She lives with who she assumes her aunt but is actually her grandfather's close friend (a grandfather she eventually discovers and meets) She falls for a prince who also attends the school, and discovers she has a twin in charge of a group or order.

I remembered some more about the book. They girl's parents are dead as far as she knows. Her mother was engaged to the current king of all mystical type people but ran off with his best friend. The king also wants to keep the species "pure".
