How do you feel about City of Bones?

I think it's probably the weakest Cassandra Clare book I've read so far. I've never liked the TMI series much, though.

♡ (yulyul) I don't remember a lot about it (or about the TMI series in general), but I liked Clary

Andy (blueniji) | 1 comments Cassandra Clare's writing progresses too much with the passing of the years and with the passing of the books. And yes, City of Bones is the weakest of all

Beware the Bookwyrm (bewarethebookwyrm) | 2 comments I think it's interesting seeing her progress as an author though.

Shawna Finnigan (sugoishawn) | 18 comments I liked it but I hate all the incest but not quite incest stuff in the series. I'm currently watching the Shadowhunters tv show and the show is so bad ;-;

I feel like the show is a bad adaptation but a good show. It's really different from the original series. My friend watched the show because she doesn't read and I was reading the book series at the time and we kept on confusing each other because the plots were so different. The show was entertaining though.

(and yes, the incest but not incest also weirded me out)

Sarah Anne (jealix) | 3 comments I only watched the first couple episodes of the Shadowhunter TV show and was cringing. And I’ve also come to the conclusion to not watch the movie either. But I love the shadow hunter world and the characters my favorite ones are the TDA group Ty, Kit, Dru, Jamie!

the movie is as bad as the show so it's good to avoid it. I'm currently almost done with season 2 of the show and yikes... it's a mess

Cassie (cstanczuk) SORRY this is going to be long!!
I'm probably the only one to think this, but TMI was one of the first Cassandra Clare series I read, I was like 14 at the time, and I loved it. Honestly, I still do, but it's probably more nostalgic for me. Yes, the incest is weird, butttt it's interesting to the storyline. Valentine and Sebastain were twisted characters, and the incest just solidifies their dark thoughts. Many YA books can be very repetitive but tmi was different. (NO, I do not think incest is okay) Also, her writing has gotten much better, I like to say that tmi was just a test run for the rest of her books...lol

Lmao. I've heard the movie is absolute garbage. The show is one of those things where, yeah, it's a mess but it's something I can put on in the background and laugh at when I tune in and hear out-of-context sentences.

I love The Dark Artifices too and I really hope Cassandra Clare plans to continue the storyline she started with the epilogue of Queen of Air and Darkness.
