Atlalune walked into the dorm and sat down
Georgie had gotten on campus just a few hours ago, she’d already updated her Instagram on what she looked like at her new school. Her dad would appreciate the post. She was wearing a soft, vintage tee that hugged her torso paired with a pair of black skinny jeans and converse. She had on her glasses and her mouse brown hair was put up in a messy bun as she walked into her new dorm. She hadn’t met her roommate yet, so it would be interesting to see who she was roomed with. She walked in to find a girl sitting on a bed, “Hey!” She chirped happily before giggling with glee at her own bed. Georgie had specified what she wanted her space to look like but she hadn’t thought they’d listen.
Georgie was unpacking her clothes when she heard a knock at the door, she glanced toward the door, “Coming!” She called out before pushing some hair back from her face and going to the door, she swung it wide open. “Hello.” She greeted the other girl with a smile.
" Hello I was Just wondering if You have a extra towel I was going to ask my friend but he's not in his room "
The other girl was asking for a towel, “Oh yeah, of course. Come in,” she gestured to the wide open dorm, “I’ll just go get it,” she ran from the room to the bathroom and came back with a rainbow towel, “Is this okay?” She asked while holding out the large towel. “I’m Georgie by the way,” she spoke with happiness in her voice. It was obvious she was a bubbly person.
Atlalune had fallen asleep, having nearly died.
Atlalune muttered something in her sleep and turned
Georgie turned to look at her roommate. “I haven’t met her yet,” she whispered to Ashley, turning back to her. “So are you new here or have you been going here a while ? I’m new.”
“Will you two let ME SLEEP?!?” Atlalune barked, waking up
Atlalune stood up, growling “WHAT did you just say?” Atlalune snarled, bristling
Georgie jumped when her roommate yelled, “Oh sorry. I didn’t mean to wake you,” she told the other girl. “I uh was going to ask you to chill with me for a bit maybe... since I don’t know anyone. But I don’t know if we should hang here with my roommate being grouchy.”
Atlalune glared at Georgie “WE are going to talk later.” Atlalune hissed and sat back down on her bed
Tears welled in Georgia’s eyes as the other girl yelled at her, “Why? I don’t know what I did wrong ?” She sat on the edge of her bed and wiped at her eyes as the tears fell. Georgie was a sensitive girl, she was usually a very bright and bubbly girl, but she liked to be liked by people , and when she wasn’t she felt like she had done something to cause it.
Georgie put a hand on Ashley’s arm, “No it’s okay I promise. How about we just hang out later?” She thought maybe she could get her roommate to calm down if they were alone. If not then she’d have to leave and come back at bedtime. Which would suck because she was really excited about decorating her room.
Atlalune sighed “Life is hard.” Atlalune muttered
Georgie wiped her wet cheeks, her roommate spoke as Ashley left. She turned on the edge of her own bed, “What happened?” She asked quietly, wondering if she and her roommate could patch things up. This was a weird situation, she felt the need to reach out to her dad, but she was keeping her hands on the bed to keep from doing that.
Atlalune sighed “I’d rather not talk about it.” Atlalune said, her tail twitching
“Okayyy,” Georgie waved, “I’m Georgie, your roommate. What’s your name?” She was going to walk over to introduce herself but thought that might not be the best idea. “Can we be... friends?” She asked, wanting nothing else but to have a good relationship with her roommate.
“I’m Atlalune Amaris Bianca. You can call me Atla. But sure!” Atlalune said
Georgie grabbed the thick, bright yellow blanket off of her bed and wrapped it around her legs. “So how long have you been here?” When Atla agreed to being friends Georgie yipped a little with happiness, “Okay! So I’m a Sagittarius, I like to go to concerts, and shopping, but only if its like fun shopping. I love pets, I’m from a small town, my dads my best friend. Though he thinks that should change,” Georgie pushed some hair out of her face, “What about you? Tell me all about you.”
"A few weeks. I'm a Cancer and I am primarily known for being emotional, nurturing, and highly intuitive, as well as sensitive and at times insecure. My gem is ruby." Atla said
“Sounds like we’ll be friends. I hope so at least, are you involved in any clubs here?” Georgia let her hands find her phone, she slid the unlock button and started looking through Twitter as she listened to Atla.
“I think I’m going to join some clubs! It sounds like a fun time, also I want to be part of theater too I think. Do they have theater here? I hope so,” Georgia rambled on as she tweeted that she thought she and her roommate would be besties.
"I want to be in theater also." Atla said, scrolling through her computer
Atla wanted to be in the theater too, “Maybe we can join together ! That could be fun, what do you think about looking at clubs and stuff? We could go on the schools website?” Georgia patted the bed she was on, inviting Atla to sit beside her on the bed.
Atla sat down “Oh yes!” Atla agreed
Atlalune stormed back in, growling
“Um Atla? You okay?” Georgie looked up from the schools website. She was trying to navigate it to see what clubs she could join and extracurricular activities. But now she was paying attention to her roommate. She seemed upset, Georgie liked to help, maybe she could her new friend feel better.
"No. I got into a fight with Ash." Atla said, sitting on her bed with a huff
((This is her bed
“I don’t know who Ash is, but I’m sure you two could work it out..” Georgie wondered if she could be their mediator. “I could help? Maybe?” The two of them sat on their beds and she thought about drama club, being a part of theater had been a dream for a long time. She was excited to be starting in a new school with all kinds of options and new people.
“He’s the son of Hades.” Atlalune scoffed
The son of Hades, wow that was... just wow. “That would be a pretty cool ally,” she tried, she didn’t want their to be bad blood between her friend and someone else.
“No. Absolutely not. I’m the daughter of Chang’e.” Atla said
“Isn’t there a way the two of you could work it out? Does he want to fight with you?” Georgie didn’t see why they had to fight, surely there was an in between they could meet at. “I mean ... fighting isn’t really an answer is it? Both sides always lose in the end.”
“No what? He doesn’t want to fight, or no there’s no way to compromise between the two of you?” If there was a way Georgie would find it. For her friends sake and the other guys. SHe didn’t think that it was right to be fighting at school, it was supposed to be an enjoyable, safe place for all students. At least that’s what the brochure said.
Georgie made her own huff, “Well Maybe you should try. It doesn’t do any good to have enemies. And we should do better than our parents at any rate,” Georgia knew that her father would want her to be better than he was, he said it all of the time. He encouraged her to be the best person she could be at all times, and he supported her choices in life.
“Yeah, hey let’s go through the clubs list together?” She offered for Atla to come sit next to her. “Drama club for sure, right?” Georgie wasn’t sure if she wanted to be an actress or in the tech department of the theater. She loved doing both!
