I thought this retelling was great for a first book! Definitely one of my favourites in the series.

I adore this book! Rose is so strong, resilient and real.

The funny thing is, when I read this book, I didn't even realize it was a Christian book until I got to the end and then I was like, "Huh, wait a second." Haha clueless little me lol.

One of my favorite parts of the book (view spoiler)[is when Wilhelm punched his brother though. Rupert had it coming for him and I'm so glad he at least got punched. (hide spoiler)]
