OK, new computer all installed - it is so big & so pretty! So I am all ready to call for nominations for our August read.
Please no books that we have read in 2020 or this year. & no books that we have already read as a group three times, as there are a few we have only read once.
Critterbee compiled this list which should help.

& here is the list of titles we have read this year

I'll close nominations at five - more than that then the vote is too fragmented
I will start with The Quiet Gentleman (last read 2018)
I nominate Detection Unlimited.I don't believe I've ever read it, nor does it look like this group has ever read it.
I say that makes it a 'should read soonest' title.
Just doing a survey not nominating here, it looks as if The Corinthian, Sprig Muslin, and Friday’s Child are among the less-read books.

Yes, Detection Unlimited has never been a group read! :)
So far;
The Quiet Gentleman
The Foundling (both last read 2018)
Detection Unlimited (never read as a group)
Powder & Patch/The Transformation of Philip Jettan (only read once 2016)
Sprig Muslin (last read 2019)
The Convenient Marriage (only read once 2017)
It has been a while since we read Powder and Patch / (The Transformation of Philip Jettan) so I will nominate that one.
Room for one more! But four is plenty so I will close nominations Monday my time, Sunday for most of you!
I would love to read Spring Muslin with the group. It's been awhile and I think the scenes at the end are among Heyer's most entertaining for sheer, character-driven humor. but I'll read whatever wins!
& the poll is up! https://www.goodreads.com/poll/list/1...
It should also be on the home page. I'm letting the poll run slightly longer than usual as some members are not receiving notifications

& Critterbee & I have had a chat - would everyone be ok with us making Detection Unlimited our September read? It lead most of the time & we have never read it as a group. Plus many people on GR aren't getting their notifications atm, which makes doing polls a bit of a hassle. This decision will be based on consensus. :)

I'm all in for Detection Unlimited as the Sept. read! I own this edition
, but have been saving it for a group read.
