Vanessa (nesshawk) Hello all! I am honored to be taking the reins from jingles who has put so much time and effort into this group. If you are anything like me, you LOVE a reading challenge (and you probably commit to far too many), which is why you are a member!

I'd like to know what your favorite kinds of challenges are! What challenges would you like to see continued? Are there any new types of challenges you would like to see in this group? Is there any challenge we should bring out of retirement?

I am eager to hear from you and excited to get to have some fun with reading challenges with you all!

Tari (thann) Welcome, Vanessa! Thanks so much for taking over! I'd like to see the WTR Tackle and Series Tackles continued since they only got to K so far. I've always liked jingles' "deadlines are just guidelines" philosophy, so it'd be great to keep that around as well :)

The Listopia is fun (even though I'm horribly behind lol) and my 2020 Countdown is coming along. I think there was a 2021, but I figured I'd just confuse myself LOL. Hope others chime in with their faves too!

Denise S | 385 comments Thank you Vanessa. My favorite challenge is the Word Challenge. The different A-Z challenges are fun as well.

the really hard word search! it's the only challenge I'm doing here and the reason I've joined this group 😅

message 5: by Brenda (new)

Brenda I enjoy a quick monthly challenge as well as the Annuals. Spell-outs are probably my favourite, but I'll try pretty much all challenges :)

Hi Vanessa, thanks for grabbing the baton and keeping this going!

I like the yearly (or longer) challenges. I love the word searches, spell-outs.

Connie N. | 430 comments Welcome to your new leadership role, Vanessa! I usually try to keep up with the monthly challenges, as well as any of the spell-outs. But whatever you come up with is sure to be fun.

message 8: by Barb (new)

Barb I'll check out almost any challenge that's presented. Whether or not I join depends on the mood I'm in at that moment, and how overwhelmed I feel by all the challenges I'm currently working on :)

message 13: by Vanessa (new)

Vanessa (nesshawk) Thanks for all your ideas! I have some challenge ideas brewing and will be posting a July challenge shortly!

message 14: by Brenda (new)

Brenda Yay!! Looking forward to seeing what it is Vanessa :)

message 15: by Marla (new)

Marla | 58 comments Sorry, I replied to your message. I'll repeat here.

I really like the Wheel of Fortune challenge!

Quarterly, 2 month or 6 month challenges are my favorite. And I appreciate the flexibility of Open-Ended challenges. Though I don't usually participate in the super huge Open-Ended challenges (says the girl who just signed up for part of the Page Landform challenge).
