To me, it's interesting that a person coming from a world focusing on sound would write about a deaf main character.
I finished and was totally thrown for a loop by the ending. I can often guess the culprits but didn't here (view spoiler)
Hey all. I had an email from Emma Viskic this morning. She provided a link with some discussion ideas. Feel free to check it out and comment on any of them. Enjoyhttps://www.emma-viskic.com/p/guide-f...
This is a really good mystery! I never guessed which character was bent! However, Caleb irritated me forever with his efforts to hide his deafness. I think if he didn't have the support he did from his friends, his emotional issues would cause him to fail more. He hates this fact.
and that's why I'm interested in reading the next two books - it seems like he might be realizing this
I think I will follow up on this series also. There were a couple clues as to who the bent culprit was... one was when the text message from Gary (? forgot his name already and am sending the book to my deaf son so I can't refer back) repeated twice, "Do not trust anybody." Plus, it's always the last one you suspect, right?
