So I just realized that they skipped the first whole chapter in the movie.
Yes, I watched the movies before reading books. Hehe!

But the worst thing is, I was in love with those Potter eyes! So Blue and Beautiful!
Turns out, Harry Potter is actually suppose to have GREEN eyes. Huh! eyes like your mum Well, not now are they?

I seriously have some problems with Hagrid's dialogues. There spelling are so confusing. Ter and yer and kip and fer and whatnot nonsense.
But the way Jim Dale read it. God! He cracked it. Such an amazing narrator.

Fred and George are funny characters. Not much of them was portrayed in the first movie. But then their goodbye scene made me laugh.
and their younger sister began to cry.
“Don’t, Ginny, we’ll send you loads of owls.”
“We’ll send you a Hogwarts toilet seat.”
“George!”
“Only joking, Mom.”

And Guess what?
Term begins on September 1
What a coincidence that we're reading it on such a perfect time:D

I watched all the films first too. I agree with your point about Hagrid's dialogue, sometimes I have to read some sentences a couple of times. It's kinda weird because it is like watching the movies in my head, which happens when I'm reading any book, but now I picture what I see in the films, rather than imagining it on my own, which normally annoys me, but it didn't this time. Also, I can't lie, my favourite relationship between the characters is definitely Hagrid and Dumbledore.

Mirah M. (mirah_reads) | 124 comments Oh! Same here! Even though it's been 5-6 months since I watched the movies. But I couldn't help picturing those characters. For let's say, Aunt Petunia and Dudeley were blonde-haired but it was hard for me to imagine because they actually had black hairs. Hehe!

Mirah M. (mirah_reads) | 124 comments And you know Ron (according to the book) is thin and lanky.

Was he thin and lanky in the movies??

I know, I know, The movies can't be an exact copy of books. But I can't help comparing them. But I do enjoy learning so many new things. Like Harry dreaming about Snape and Quirrell. My friends haven't read the book, so I'm looking forward to sharing this scenes with them.
And they think they are the biggest Potter fans, Duh!

I've finsihed the first book. I liked it a lot more than I thought I would because I don't normally like books if I end up watching the movie first. I'm still not sure what I'm going to rate it, probably around the 4 star mark :)

Mirah M. (mirah_reads) | 124 comments Okay, I'm behind schedule. I'm on chapter 12 of book two. Hopefully I'll finish it tonight!

I started Goblet Of Fire today, and I'm enjoying it so far. It is the ne that I was most nervous to read, as it's my favourite out of the films. I was wondering if we could have an extra 2-3 days to read Goblet Of Fire, only because I have a lot of school work :)

Mirah M. (mirah_reads) | 124 comments Yeah, that will be totally fine.

Mirah M. (mirah_reads) | 124 comments Haven't started goblet of fire. But I loved Prisoner of Azkaban! It was an amazing book. I had so many thoughts on it and I wanted to share each and every one of them, but unfortunately I was not having data in my phone and had no time to refill it.

You could take notes on the offline notepad and then copy/paste to the website or an online-synced note program later.
