The first link is for the short story, the second link for the collection, and it's Goodreads' policy not to combine single stories with collections.

OK, I had not noticed that these editions were referring to only a single story out of the collection.

However, in that case the cover picture for the second edition:

is incorrect, as it has the text "nine wicked tales" on it, and as such clearly refers to the complete collection; it is the same cover picture as for example:
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...

I see what you say. I've tried to gather more info about the edition but I haven't been successful so far and I can't delete the cover or merge the edition unless I'm sure the cover is wrong or the edition doesn't exist. For all I know, the cover of the whole collection could have been used by Vintage for an ARC of the single story before publishing it as "Vintage Short". It's a pity that the edition wasn't added to the data base with more information.

Of course, that's my opinion. More knowledgeable librarians may think differently!
