This goes along with her hobbies and often Petunia is trying a new hobby each month. She has a wild imagination and daydreams so often that it can at times interfere with her life. She has an obsession with pretty things and collects cute fashion accessories, trinkets, and her continuously growing flower garden behind the palace. Of course we can’t forget the women, either. Petunia is a hopeless romantic and is still in the honeymoon phase with her wife. She doesn’t dwell on the painful things in her life as she did when she was younger, but now she has grown from it and learned to be happier and less anxious. Instead she looks at cute animals or her wife whenever she is in a bad mood and remembers all the things that she has. Many people consider Queen Petunia to be one of the sweetest queens out there, which is to be expected as all of the rulers of the Rabbit kingdom have been known for their kindness.

(view spoiler)[Petunia was born from Queen Rose and was destined to be ruler of the Rabbit kingdom as she was the firstborn. She only had her mother as the king had been assassinated months earlier. She was pampered by her parents (her mother remarried rather quick, oddly enough) and given everything that she wanted, but also was properly taught manners and to respect others. She knew of political affairs from a young age and was always overjoyed to see different kinds of animals in her kingdom and loved the harmony that she saw in others. As Princess Petunia grew to become a teenager, she became engaged to the princess of the Hare kingdom. Since the two kingdoms already had a strong alliance and were neighboring each other, they had already been good friends. The bond between the two of them grew stronger and, contrary to most royal marriages, fell in real love. When they turned 18 they married and for a few years were quite joyful. But then Petunia’s mother fell ill with GI Stasis. Medical professionals had tried their best to save her, but it was too far in and she wouldn’t recover. Petunia soon found herself with a crown on her head sitting on a throne, absolutely distraught. But the new queen had to put on a brave face for her subjects and so she began to quickly produce heirs for the throne. Soon all of her troubles were replaced with meetings and signing contracts. The pain became something that she was only able to briefly visit in the late hours of the night. And she moved forward.
Now Queen Petunia’s life is dedicated to her kingdom and keeping the alliance between each of the kingdoms stable. But lately it’s been getting harder as she’s caught word from her spies of a possible war on the horizon. She has been desperately trying to prevent this, but is still prepared for the worst outcome possible. (hide spoiler)]

She wears long white gloves and white tights quite often and matches them with white platform heels. She wears lots of jewelry and most commonly wears her rose quartz heart necklace, gifted by her mother. Petunia also commonly is seen wearing big lace hats with flowers sewn into them. This was made by her wife and she usually wears this while she is gardening or going outside.

(view spoiler)[Eldoris is an introvert that prefers to be alone, often making up as many excuses as possible to not attend royal meetings. The only people that he is open with are his siblings, often being overly protective of them. Cordelia is the sibling closest to him in age and he spends most of his time with her. While he’s open around family members, to others he comes across as cold and arrogant. In reality Eldoris is just not focused on what people think of him and is more focused on his mission. It takes quite a bit of effort to get him to be close to you, let alone even notice who you are. Given his unfriendly demeanor, you’d think that he’d be unpopular, but he’s well sought after by many as people view him as “exclusive”. Eldoris is the only one who doesn’t seem to take a hint when being flirted with so many times by various merfolk. He doesn’t think much of what others say, so that may be one of the reasons why. Eldoris is a focused man, as you could see from the previous sentences. He does his job well and makes sure his kingdom is safe as he is the eldest and is preparing for the throne.

(view spoiler)[Eldoris was born the heir to the Fish kingdom’s throne and from birth was trained hard for his position. He was athletic and gifted from an early age, though lacked the extroversion that was sought in leaders. He often went to his room to read or practice ballet. The only people that he ever spoke to casually were his siblings, growing quite close to Cordelia. One night Cordelia and Eldoris were past their bedtime, whispering in the hallways of the palace. What they didn’t notice was the intruder coming to find princess Cordelia, but once they did it was too late. The assassination attempt left her with a wound, but immediately her older brother stood to protect her and a large scar on his front from the incident. Once the palace caught word, it quickly spread outside of the kingdom and Eldoris became known as a brave prince that would be a worthy king.
Since that point, he has protected each of his siblings fiercely and often annoys them. He can’t be around them often, however, since he has to attend many royal events. But whenever he can see them, he’ll absolutely cherish them. Most of his time is spent with his mother and learning the politics between them and other countries. Recently that has been all he can think about given the sudden tensions between the Creature Alliance. While the Fish kingdom has chosen to remain neutral, it’s becoming apparent to Eldoris that they may have to pick a side. He’s been wondering what choice he’ll make. (hide spoiler)]

Usually he doesn’t wear a shirt, but when he’s on land he will sport a blue satin button up shirt. On more casual days (not often as he hates going on land) he’ll unbutton the first few buttons. She’ll make it seem as if you’ve won her over and act sweet, but the moment you arouse suspicion you’ll be a new skull in her collection. She’s a powerful being that commands respect among others and you wouldn’t want to be on her bad side. Anya is very loyal to the Canine rulers and often judges those who seem like traitors or spies rather cruelly, and her judgement is a lot more strict than most. She doesn’t trust easily and that is why the only people she holds in high regard and looks up to are the king, queen, and her sister. She is feared by many, but her sister has seen a different side to her. Anya is willing to give up her life for the safety of those she cares for and is quite forgiving. Still, she is willing to do whatever it takes for their safety. It doesn’t matter if that person doesn’t share the same viewpoint and at times she does some shady things in order for them to be safe.

(view spoiler)[Anya grew up fatherless for most years of her life, her only remaining parent being her mother. While Anya was still her child, her mother didn’t often pay much mind to her and focused more on her sister as Nora had more butterfly-like traits. It also didn’t help that Anya bore a striking resemblance to that of her father and couldn’t rely on nectar to survive, often being told to go on her own to get meat. It wasn’t that the household she lived in was clearly abusive, it had layers. They still spoke and acted normal, but it was still clear who the mother favored and she lacked that closeness with her parent. Due to being quietly pushed away, Anya focused on other things and became more introverted. She picked up many odd hobbies, but the ones that stuck were combat and skull collecting. This came around her rebellious phase, in which she grew to hate the Papillon kingdom and thus greatly favored the Canine kingdom, often flaunting her fox features to others and hiding her wings. This set Anya to wanting to serve her kingdom and she trained hard, eventually going to a military school and making her way up the ranks. Her dedication paid off and made people trust her easier despite Anya’s bloodlust. She never spoke much to her mother and knew that she wasn’t very proud of her, often disregarding what she became excited over. The only person Anya could really talk about her feelings was Nora. Even though Nora had her bias towards her mother, it didn’t trump her love for her sister and the two protected each other emotionally. Just after Anya was granted the rank of head knight, her mother passed away. It wasn’t due to sickness or anything, but simply due to the fact that butterflies had a shorter lifespan than mammals. But it didn’t lessen the blow. Well, not necessarily the blow for Anya. But for Nora it was quite horrible. Nora fell into a depression and had to move out of her mother’s place, staying in an apartment that was paid for by Anya before she would get a job. Even if it was a large expense for Anya to take care of her sister, she would do it. She would do it because Nora stuck by her and she would bet her very life in order for her safety. Anya still grieved her mother’s death, but didn’t express it openly and more so longing for what could have been. Since then Anya has recovered and doesn’t think about it too much, but Nora is still in her depressive episode. While this is weighing on her mind, she can’t focus on it when the threat of the Feline kingdom is emerging. It’s been quite a strain on her and she has been wondering if she may have to do something . . . drastic in order to make this stop. (hide spoiler)]

She has pale skin, commonly found in many butterflies, and has dark black hair that is short and curled. It is usually covered up, however, with the outfit above. That is similar to many of the outfits she wears as they are practical for combat and her position. Anya doesn’t wear much makeup, but puts on red gloss if she’s feeling particularly prideful in herself. It also helps in distracting herself from the world. Nora is a kind person and will help those in need. While she is apprehensive of strangers, if they are in danger she will do something about it, often against Anya’s warnings. She has a strong sense of morals and likes to make up for doing something. It’s why she does so many things for Anya, as she has given her a home and all her necessities. Despite her calm exterior, she is quite sad and struggles to get out of bed most mornings. She is wracked with grief and despair over the loss of her mother and doesn’t believe that she’ll recover. It’s ironic how charitable and nice she is to others while she still holds a deep hatred towards herself, but she just can’t fathom her being deserving of anything she has. Nora feels the need to make her sister look impeccable, making sure that she sews her new outfits every so often to make sure she stays in the spotlight. While she works from the shadows, Nora knows that her sister’s job is important and doesn’t want to be a burden. This is why she is loyal to those that she respects and loves, often doing all she can for them to succeed. It makes her a high target for manipulation, but Anya is good at spotting bad people before they can get to her.

Nora always preferred to do creative hobbies and began to sketch designs for dresses and clothes that she dreamt up and began practicing sewing, finding herself quite handy at the skill. Her dreams were soon set on becoming a fashion designer and she worked hard on her various dresses, preparing them for a large portfolio in order to attend a prestigious school. Anya was achieving her dreams and Nora was so close, but then her mother died. Nora was grief stricken and could hardly fathom it, days passing as she stared at the ceiling and thought. She had to move into an apartment and seemingly left all her dreams in their small house. She felt horrible for abusing her sister’s financial status like this, but it was too hard to find the motivation to do anything whatsoever. Life was a void and seemed so pointless. After a bit, she began to try to repay the imaginary debt she felt she owed to Anya and maintained the house and gave her gifts. Sometimes she’d even be bold and open the door to bring in packages. (view spoiler)[Bryce Rock was born the only child of the viscountess Genna Amber and his father, Allen Rock. They were a wealthy family due to his mother's status and popularity. She was known for her strength and ability to lift things as large as buildings. Allen Rock was a famous wrestler, but not nearly as famous as she was. When they had a child, they expected him to come out intelligent and creative, but the opposite happened. Luckily, the mother supported Bryce even though he wasn’t gifted like the other nobles at his private school. His father had pushed him to try harder, but still loved him. They didn’t expect him to be strong in his ability if he even had one. Bryce grew to favor his mother as he grew and was living as a normal child until his powers finally came at 12 years old. In a fight with a friend, he ended up throwing something at him and luckily missed, but ended up making a tree crack in two just from the force. His parents grew excited and encouraged him to practice, but he wasn’t super interested in making it into a big deal and wanted to just show it to his friends, but his parents sent him to a prestigious school in the Canine capital instead. ‘How did he get in?’ many of you will ask. Since his mother was a famous viscountess, that gave him points. Also, a few bribes may have possibly been made to allow him to attend. Now that they’re more free, they often have terrible mood swings or outbursts just because of the trauma they have endured. She finds it quite difficult to trust people in fear that they won’t accept them, often keeping secrets or lying because they’re so terrified that they’ll be punished for doing anything. Eris prefers to be alone and will run off to the woods, her apartment, or wherever a sketchbook is just to escape life. It’s very hard for them to be around others without overthinking things or feeling terrible about themself. While Eris has trust issues, they are still very dependent on others, often not wanting to be left alone and going out of their way to impress someone. They tend not to think of how they feel, but instead focus on the other person’s needs and put them above them. Even when she realizes it’s hurting her, she’ll still let it happen just because it’s been so ingrained in their head that being submissive is how to form a relationship.

(view spoiler)[Eris was born in a cult in a rural town in the Bird Kingdom, daughter of the priestess. From birth she was weighed with high expectations, being forced to dress as feminine as possible and was forced into many gender roles. It seemed everything done for Eris was only in preparation for the ceremony when they turned 16. That was when her life of limited freedom would end and they would be forced to submit to the selected son, made a priest before her only because it would show his superiority. Their whole life they were shamed for being emotional and were always told to be quiet, but the tears never stopped. Eris never grew out of it, either. They began to feel like an outsider due to their emotional outbursts and gender dysphoria and never truly felt like they fit in. It was always a test of worthiness and Eris never fit in any of the boxes, always thinking too much or not doing enough to support the church. When they were 14 years old, the boy selected as priest had confronted her with a group of other boys. They cornered her and proceeded to sexually assault her, telling them that no one would believe them if they told anyone. They told Eris that they’d get in trouble as well and, since Eris had never been taught a thing about consent, believed them. Whenever Eris was around the boy, he’d always give her smirks as if they shared a forbidden romance of the sort and adults always teased them for it. It made Eris feel disgusting, but they had to endure it because there was nowhere else to go. When they turned 16, the day for her to become priestess came and a ceremony was being held with them wearing a feather headpiece and dress of white feathers. Their back was left showing, allowing their white wings to spread out as she walked down their church. But in the end, they just couldn’t do it. They couldn’t marry the priest, let alone kiss him on the lips. They ran away, attempting to fly but were chased by their father and brought back down, her writhing in his arms as he gripped her wings. Many didn’t know what to do, but Eris was having a panic attack and continued to thrash. Many were furious, seeing it selfish that one could reject such a wonderful opportunity. Especially the priest. He took it into his own matters, taking her back inside the church and putting her up on the altar, back facing the crowd. The priest was known for his unmatched strength and grabbed their wings and in one swift motion ripped them from their back. One night they ran, opening their window and using bed sheets to climb down. They ran and ran, sleeping in cheap motels with the little money they had. Eventually they got a ride on a king stranger’s wings to the capital and began to live on the streets selling their paintings. It turned out that they were actually really good and people would buy them for high prices, allowing Eris to move into a small apartment and she currently resides there. They are still very cautious about even putting themself out there as they don’t want their church to find them. Many consider her annoying, but Tepi knows that if she speaks any lower that people won’t listen. She’s very intelligent and skilled at all subjects, especially science. Learning more about things and making discoveries is just her style. She loves talking to people and getting to know different perspectives, but doesn’t really let that many people close to her. She has many secrets and insecurities that she feels can’t be shown to the public in fear that people will see her as weak. Tepi is honestly right to make that assumption. While she’s very close with her wives, she also feels that this weakness can’t be shown to them, either. Her adoption caused much discourse with the subjects of the kingdom given her being what many considered an “inferior axolotl” since she didn’t have the commonly desired pale skin and pink weird feather head things. Also, considering she was the only heir, many were angered at the thought of being ruled by a woman. Yes, the Salamander Kingdom is not as happy as you’d expect. Salamanders are well known for being old fashioned and sexist, racist, and not really interested in changing their ways. Luckily the kings wanted to make a change. Tepi was allowed to learn like all the other boy Salamanders and even became smarter than most, taking a liking towards education and understanding moral concepts in elementary school. Even when the world was throwing everything at her, she persevered and made it her goal to help reform the Salamander Kingdom and sustain itself more easily.
Tepi just didn’t expect to have to reform it so young. One of the kings, King Tizoc, was shot with a poison arrow while making a speech. The assassinator was quickly found and arrested, but not the organization behind it. Tepi was distraught, knowing that the reason he was killed was because he was fighting for women of all status to be able to get an education like all men were allowed. The organization was conservative and had been growing in popularity, building up to the moment her father was murdered. Her other father was in even worse shape, being bedridden for months. Then one night, when he was being fed his food, he suddenly slipped into a deep sleep. Tepi didn’t know what to do and doctors that assessed his state believed it was a coma of sorts, but weren’t sure of the cause. King Chimalli wasn’t dead, but Tepi had to step in as queen. And while at first it seemed temporary, the idea soon settled that she would be ruling for a long time. Unrest rose throughout the entire kingdom and whatever the newfound queen did was scrutinized heavily. She began to fear for her own life, often hearing from angry citizens that the kingdom would only go downhill from here. So Tepi turned to what she knew would make her kingdom happy at least somewhat: marriage. She met with two of the neighboring queens from the Frog and Toad Kingdom and, well, begged to join their marriage. You could say that she was a little desperate. She had been acquaintances with Queen Neoma, so it was a little easier, but most certainly not something she enjoyed doing. But Tepi feared her life, her father’s life, and for her kingdom. Tepi was at her lowest low and couldn’t find any other way to put her life back together without help. While help was something she loathed, it worked out in the long run. And it ended up being that she actually liked her wives and found solace from all her troubles when they were with her. Queen Tepi could actually focus and managed to actually give women more rights and joined the alliance in the process. The Salamander Kingdom became more wealthy and the trade between the kingdoms a part of the alliance greatly boosted their kingdom’s economy. The group that had assassinated King Tizoc went quiet, but that didn’t mean they were completely gone. While Tepi doesn’t know this, there are quite a few who are willing to go to extreme lengths to undo her progress and even cause harm upon her. It may not be long before something terrible happens. Esmeray stumbles and isn’t always great when speaking, but he can write quite fluently and many don’t even believe he’s a well known writer around the area at first sight. His anxiety just causes him to say dumb things. Esmeray is pretty sensitive, often taking things said to heart. This can lead to him having really positive and sweet memories to awful, negative ones. It isn’t easy for him to forgive and thus doesn’t have many that he can rely on. Even though he’s sad, like, all the time, he still tries to be happy and think positive thoughts even when it clearly isn’t working. But many can admire this trait in him, finding it good that someone could be able to find good in any sort of situation. Esmeray is really bad at flirting. Not smooth at all and just very cheesy. Roses are red, violets are blue type guy. And the worst part is that he can’t even pick up on flirting when others are doing it to him. Esmeray wanted to have a normal family, but it wasn’t ever the case. Instead he got the one that pretended to be perfect, the one that gave him scars and the one that made him afraid of heights because his father pushed him off a cliff. He got the one that told him it was “so he could be a leader”. The only person he ever found solace in was with Caspian, his childhood best friend. The only person that Esmeray could approach and tell his troubles to without being turned on. Home just seemed to keep getting more and more stressful, a place that Esemeray was afraid to go back to. So instead he spent as much time as he could with Caspian. Even when other children would laugh at the two for hanging out with each other, his friend still stayed by his side. They became nearly inseparable and that was when he discovered his . . . crush. He was planning on avoiding him since he didn’t want to accidentally make a fool of himself, but then Caspian had the incident with his mother and he didn’t really even have the chance to ignore him. They just separated after that, Caspian having gone off to mourn and Esmeray to continue living the lonely life he had always been living. Esmeray grew up, eventually immigrating to the Bird Kingdom in order to go to a prestigious college. Well, that was what he told his parents. In reality it was just to leave them behind. He was tired of the emotional abuse and at times physical and simply wanted nothing to do with them. He pursued his own dreams and became a popular poet and ghost writer for various sorts of things to the dismay of his family. But he was free. His Bat family couldn’t shame him any more than a few angry letters. One day he was walking down the main square when he saw Caspian. At first he thought he might have gone insane and was hallucinating, but did a triple take and realized it indeed was his old friend. He went up behind him and put his hands on his shoulder, saying “Boo!”, having forgotten just how horrible of an idea that was. Esmeray gained a black eye after that, but also gained his old friend.

Her mission was to take on the duty of grim reaper, seeing as the dark lord already did that and needed someone to do it when they were gone. She grew up learning how to use their magic and then how to use a scythe and then how to reap souls and then around and around in a circle. They were delayed by a few hundred years because it was very hard for Mercy to go out at night given their visual snow. It made objects blend into one another like one static-y overlay, turning colors and shapes into mush. Mercy had to train to use all of her senses in order to be able to capture souls . . . or just run pointless errands for Jael. It seemed that there was no end to the incredibly boring lectures and errands, but one day she was signed on for a task. To finally reap a real soul. They’d seen it billions of times (literally) and were finally considered ready for it . . . and they were, somewhat. It still took Mercy a lot of hard work, but they’re becoming better each time. One thing she’s learned, however, is that reaping souls gets boring after a while. Now Jael is always yelling at them to go out and do their job. To be honest, Mercy kinda enjoys messing with him. Anyways, Mercy has been wandering out to different areas to reap different souls. Depending on where they’re from it can actually change the difficulty of taking their souls. Mizuki is ambitious and intelligent, often going after whatever she feels like at the time and usually earning it given her smarts. She is self centered and egotistical, always making herself the center of attention and viewing herself as the main antagonist of a roleplay. What roleplay is she talking about? Her attention span towards people is low and after a while she ends up either discarding them or manipulating them into whatever she desires. Due to her being so great at manipulation, she is also good at noticing what others are thinking and if they plan on using her. Often she gets into outbursts of anger and can’t be reasoned with. A lot of people dislike her and find her incredibly annoying, but that just makes Mizuki want to annoy them more. She's a bit flirtatious, often winning hearts with her manipulation and then stomping on them later on. Literally and figuratively. Lust is her seven deadly sin because of how she craves relationships but just ends up using them. She also is a bit lustful for violence, so she's definitely out of control. The only thing she had in her life were her books on magical girls who saved the day. She thought of the world as being filled with monsters and subsequently saw her father as a bad guy and her as the magical hero who defeated them. At the age of 10 she began to hurt herself to unleash her pains and stress. This continued for years and still continues whenever she is feeling particularly in one mood. Her father noticed these scars but never said a word.
As she grew, it became apparent that Mizuki was extremely intelligent and got a free ride to a feeder high school due to it. There, she met many rich people and even some royals. Due to her low status and lack of riches, she was heavily bullied and her twisted view of the world grew even more until she thought that all royals were filth and deserved to be exterminated. She learned to continue to smile, however, once she hatched a plan to kill them all. One day she just snapped and killed her father, using her invisibility. This caused her to go into a week long coma and after that she couldn't use much of her ability without extreme heart pains that would last for hours. Since Mizuki has better learned to manage herself and has gotten better with her power, but still gets them every once in a while.

Arshi was trafficked for all sorts of things. Some wanted to abuse her abilities and others wanted . . . other things. She was taken to all sorts of kingdoms: the Feline Kingdom, the Hare Kingdom, and the Bat Kingdom. But the one that she was most often transported to was the Snake Kingdom, known for their trafficking problems. Her whole life she had been used and had many issues because of it. One night she had enough. Arshi didn’t want to spend another second being ordered by a fat old man. So she ran when she had the chance. She opened the bathroom window to the crappy apartment and took a bit of a risk, jumping down into the alleyway, unsure of whether she’d make it. Since the room wasn’t too high, Arshi only sustained a broken leg. Of course the man ran after her with Arshi fleeing for her life when . . .
Someone grabbed her hand. Arshi at first wanted to struggle, but looked up and saw a fellow woman and stood still for a moment, unsure of what to do. The woman was dressed in rich clothing and had a black crown perched on her head, the same one that Arshi recognized as Princess Pasithea’s. But there was no time to wonder as the old guy had caught up to her, yelling that she belonged to him. The princess protected her and brought her to safety, the only price to be paid was her loyalty. And being loyal required her to endure a few things, but Arshi was willing to do so if that meant she could be safe. Besides, she loved Pasithea to the very core of her being. Having endured such awful trauma, it would only be natural to gain a twisted mindset of relationships and thus she viewed what Pasithea did to her as simply being blessed. (hide spoiler)]

While Bedelia is patient with most people, there’s one thing that will make her go absolutely crazy. People thinking she’s stupid because she has a chest. Bedelia just hates those people and will instantly murder them, not waiting for them to say another word. She likes the finer things in life and wears big jewelry to show off that side of her. She loves singing and will go out on the pier and sing her heart out at night, often to the annoyance of her crewmates. (view spoiler)[Bedelia was born in the Bird Kingdom in a small territory far off from the actual kingdom, right by the ocean. She fell in love with the water along with her sister, Hestia. Their parents were neglectful and were more interested in using her older sister for child labor and Bedelia as the replacement than actually spending time to love them. It felt more like it was a transactional relationship than anything, and Hestia was the first to propose the idea of escape. She wanted to make easy money as pirates and decided merfolk poaching would be the best option. While Bedelia was a bit wary of killing other fellow creatures, she didn’t really see much of a problem with it seeing as she was quite young and hadn’t learned empathy. They stole a small ship and made their escape with nothing but a bag of food, water, and a gun. Catching a merperson was actually easier than it sounded, seeing as some came to the surface and weren’t very unfriendly. The two slit all of their throats and sold some of them at the nearest stop, even cooking and eating one along the way. After a bit they could stay on the ocean full time, having bought a bigger boat and eventually even gained a crew member. And things kept on growing and getting bigger and bigger. Hestia’s team even started being sought out by other big name pirate crews, but they were all quickly defeated. Bedelia was happy and proud to be apart of one of the deadliest pirate ships and couldn’t be more content with her situation. (hide spoiler)]

Her boots are black with gold detailings and go up to her thighs. The boots and cape are an everyday thing, but she switches up the shirts but the style is relatively the same. Her jewelry consists of big rings and thick chokers with a jewel on them, usually a ruby.

(view spoiler)[Selenite was born twins and was quite close to her as such. It was celebrated that the eggs held two babies and thus they were coddled quite a bit. The village had always been very unaccepting and from a young age Selenite had some girl crushes, but was very confused since she also liked boys. It always felt like a horrible secret she kept. As much as Selenite wanted to succumb to tradition, she just didn’t have it in her heart to fully push away that side of her. She began to secretly rebel and would sneak out of the village to see the sites. It was what gave her more knowledge and made her want her village to be different, to change like the other kingdoms.
When she was about 14000 years old, war was breaking out and was forced to disappear. It all happened quite quickly and her sister had been out flying somewhere. While Selenite wanted to find her twin, she had to pack up and go and assumed that she’d catch up with her. She didn’t imagine they’d burn her village down. Her sister had been the only one she could even be partially honest with, so when her twin didn’t return she was devastated. This didn’t make Selenite believe she was dead, though, and instead rejected what the town had begun to believe. She refused to attend the funeral and refused to pray for her safety in the afterlife, stating confidently that her sister hadn’t burned. Some felt angered, but most just pitied her.
Selenite slowly began to rebel, becoming more open and rejecting more traditions. This was practically unheard of in the town and many thought she’d lost her mind after her sister had supposedly died. It all got worse when she admitted to her parents that she liked women in an argument and stormed off. She planned to escape and actually managed to get quite a bit far, but her parents were stronger. They took her back kicking and screaming, saying she was only 14500 years old and wasn’t nearly mature enough to make a decision about who she liked and that her sister wasn’t alive. Word got out about her preference for women and many judged her, believing her to be like the outsiders and gross. She was ostracized, even by her parents somewhat. That didn’t deter her, however, and as soon as she became 18000 years old she booked it out of there. Her parents had given her a trip away as a present and sign of trust, but she knew she wasn’t going to be returning. She kept moving from place to place, trying to stay away as long as possible. Selenite knew she may be caught in the end, but would rather be living her best life than in an oppressive environment. Now she resides in the Snake Kingdom, where her scales appear almost normal at a glance, though hides her wings. She is searching for her sister, though is also nervous that if she goes anywhere near the burned remnants that a fellow Dragon will find her. (hide spoiler)]

The human appearance has dark blue hair with bangs going down to her ribs and her eyes become a lighter shade of blue without the vertical slit shown above. Selenite’s skin is pale and has East Asian traits. Her face shape is pretty pointed and has sharp edges, though her lips are large and soft and her nose is a button. Her eyebrows are thin.
Selenite’s half human half dragon form gives her large dark blue wings and dark blue horns that fade to a lighter blue (similar to her eyes color) at the top. Her pupils became like slits instead of circular and dark blue scales appear all throughout. On her face a few appear on her cheeks. In the moonlight her horn and scales seem to sparkle due to the magic the moon gives. She grows larger to a height of about 8’6. Selenite grows a tail that is dark blue, of course, and is large and noticeable, unable to be hidden. Her hands and feet grow scales, covering the entirety of them and her nails grow longer, the ends becoming a dark navy. The scales on her stomach are interspersed with soft ones and strong ones, a bit of a rare quirk from her family.
Her fashion strays a bit from traditional clothing and is a bit of a modernized version, similar to wa lolita fashion. She wears lots of blue, white, and black dresses but typically keeps her hair long. Despite the cute and slightly impractical fashion, she wears black or white combat boots with them. As much as Selenite wants to forget her past, she did enjoy wearing the dresses.

Her magic is weakest then due to her expelling energy to keep it near her. The water will also shift quite rapidly, since her magic is nearly coming out of her very breath from using so much of it. Annie is still very sad and doubts herself quite often but never shows this to others because she thinks she’ll be a burden. Even when she’s at her lowest, she’ll still go out of her way to make others smile instead of herself.
Mara is very deceptive and will do a lot to get what she wants. She doesn’t feel many emotions and thinks that it’s funny to see Annie in pain, often tormenting her just for her amusement instead of an actual goal. That’s simply what she’s inclined to do: make people inclined towards sin, even if that’s not how they truly feel. She gets lonely on her own, though, and needs someone to live in to feel fulfilled and alive.

She was loved by everyone and in turn she loved others with her big heart. She was a content, kindhearted child and what one would call an angel. However, Annie was not very cautious. She loved playing in the woods and one day went deeper than usual and got lost. The sky darkened and she got so sad and started crying when . . . a little girl appeared, similar to her in several ways.
Annie paused, looking up.
The girl stared back, dark eyes glinting. “Are you lost?”
She sniffled and curled up. Quietly, she mumbled, “Yes.”
“Allow me to lead you home. In return, I can be your friend forever,” the girl said and smiled in a friendly manner, outstretching her hand. “These woods have been so lonely.”
Annie nodded and stood, taking her hand. “Deal! Besides, that’s hardly a cost. You’re helping me so of course I’d be your friend.”
“Forever,” the girl added.
“Forever,” Annie replied.
So the girl led Annie back and they had a wonderful conversation, the princess learning that her new friend’s name was Mara and that she had been lonely for many, many years. Though once they exited the woods, something strange happened. Mara grabbed Annie’s hand and began to sink into her pores, her body flowing into Annie’s and making a home in her mind. She screamed and screamed, but by the time some knights heard her and came to the rescue, Mara wasn’t there. No one believed her and thought she simply had a bad dream or got spooked in the woods, but Annie knew. She heard Mara inside her, whispering terrible things. Making her life a living hell. And when Annie did fun things, Mara would become present with her, the scent of something rotting filling the princess’s nose. It took every aspect of her life and it felt like a constant struggle for control, with Annie fighting to keep the two of them separate. She has since stopped speaking of it and now everyone simply thinks she’s gotten over her fear, but Annie just knows no one will believe her. (hide spoiler)]

She has long lashes and dark pink eyes, close to that of red. Her hair is wavy and, while not as long as her host, is often in pigtails. She wears black bows all the time in some form of another. That is because she rarely ever acts out, well, at least not that they know of. Annette is methodical and graceful when she plans, maintaining her image of being an intelligent leader. On the inside, however, she’s absolutely ruthless. Annette will heartlessly kill anyone that she deems a threat to her in any way, making sure no trace of them is left once she has finished them. She keeps her feelings locked inside, knowing it is a weakness to let those show. The only person who would understand would be Jacques and they rarely ever say how they are feeling to each other considering they know each other quite well. She’s a perfectionist and won’t stop doing something until she is certain people will find her achievement stunning. Annette is quick to dismiss other people’s successes, seeing as if she admits it’s good she will begin to feel intense jealousy and resentment. This leads to her acting superior to everyone, believing she is above it all. She will only compliment someone’s skill if she thinks they are still below her and are in no danger of surpassing her. Annette appears mature at a glance and almost never acts out in formal settings making her seen as a golden child. While she does find a lot of things Jacques does to be stupid, that doesn’t make her more mature in the slightest. The only reason they didn’t rip each other apart was because they needed to have kids and they may lose their jobs if they did so, even after they fulfilled their duty. Though they delayed producing heirs, societal pressure eventually became too much and they caved. Annette was born and then Jacques a few thousand years after, though that isn’t much of a difference when it comes to demons and is actually only a year apart in human age and maturity. Annette was ‘doted’ upon by her parents, though it was emotional abuse for the most part. It felt like a threat that if she ever messed up, she’d end up like Jacques. Sometimes she was forced to watch him be lashed by their father while her mother held her in place, whispering how great a child she was and that she was too perfect to ever become like him. It was traumatizing, but after a while Annette only felt numb. Jacques would always make it known how much he hated her, yet she never tried to make their relationship better or worse. She had accepted this was how things would be and that it was best to stay silent. During all of this Annette began to have issues with eating. Her mother would tell her she had too much baby fat and that girls were prettier when they had ribs. She felt ashamed of her body, like no matter how little she ate she’d always be fat. When she was a preteen, she saw Jacques self harming. Even though they rarely talked, she understood the pain he was going through. A part of the reason she wasn’t eating was also that she didn’t believe she deserved to have food, to eat like everyone else. Seeing him doing that made her see they were quite similar after all. So she told him one of her many secrets: that she didn’t eat. Annette said it in a way that would appear cold to others, but she was a girl of few words. It meant everything. They became closer after that, sometimes just sitting in silence reading separate books. They helped each other. Basically, Jacques has a superiority complex. He pays a lot of attention to his image and is subsequently quite insecure and has a lot of issues surrounding it. He wouldn’t ever admit that, though, and portrays himself as a one dimensional Chad. He feels like he needs to prove himself better than anyone, even if it’s something stupid. This is because he’s used to being treated like he’s worthless. Even though he sounds really stupid and harmless, he’s actually really quick to harm people. Of the two siblings, most people fear him more due to his abuse of power and anger issues. That isn’t actually accurate given Annette is a lot more calculating, but appearance wise Jacques is someone that people avoid. Jacques is mischievous and basically pisses off every adult in Hell by doing bad stuff and getting away with it due to his position. He is also quite a flirt towards all genders even though he may not feel attraction towards them. He has never slept with anyone, really, and has only ever gone as far as making out given his young age. Jacques is fairly closed off and won’t even tell things to his sister because she usually understands things without him having to say it out loud. He’s also a bit childish, enjoying stuffies and fairy tales. If anyone ever found this out, he’d likely blackmail them or kill them. The only reason they didn’t rip each other apart was because they needed to have kids and they may lose their jobs if they did so, even after they fulfilled their duty. Though they delayed producing heirs, societal pressure eventually became too much and they caved. Jacques was born a few thousand years after Annette, though that isn’t much of a difference when it comes to demons and is actually only a year apart in human age and maturity. He was really only brought to life as a backup plan to Annette and was constantly made to feel inferior and stupid. Whenever their parents weren’t literally trying to murder each other, they were busy abusing their children or gone off. For being a child doing stupid things like coloring on the walls, Jacques would receive a harsh beating. For years it was a fight just to be seen and appreciated, and thus developed the personality he has today. His relationship with his sister was quite rocky due to how she was favored and he held great resentment towards her, even though people often commented on how similar they looked. When he was a preteen, he began to self harm. It was a form to punish himself whenever he was at a low or had done something he felt deserved a cut. Annette one time saw him doing this and grabbed his wrist holding the dagger, staring him dead in the eye. She told him that she didn’t eat most of the time, letting Jacques know that he wasn’t alone. After that he began to understand that his sister as well suffered in her own way and grew closer, as well as stopped cutting himself. He can twist anyone’s argument into either a term of endearment or into something that sounds stupid. It pisses so many people off, but Delroy doesn’t care in the slightest. They are prideful in their abilities, though they don't have to say it out loud for their strength to be recognized by all. That’s a reason why he hated Jacques and people like him: they have to ask for respect. Delroy slightly favors Annette because of her strength and that the two are a bit more similar to each other, but that’s as far as their relationship goes. On the outside he can appear carefree and like all he wants is a little fun, but Delroy is very cautious and not what they may appear. They make sure not to let their guard down and are constantly on alert. Delroy is pretty flirtatious even though they’re married. They don’t ever stick to anyone, but instead use them until they get bored or simply use them whenever they have free time. He isn’t one to care about people’s feelings which makes him, in part, such a good leader. They can make decisions without bias and without mercy. Delroy is smooth in other aspects, too. He can communicate with others and make them like him just by their charm, which doesn’t always relate to their ability. They are just, on principle, a charming fellow and many swoon for them or are good friends. In reality he doesn’t really care about most of them and is only friends if they think they can get something out of it. In the end, the only person they are loyal to is the king because they could never harm him. Delroy is really out for themself and serves their own needs. (view spoiler)[First an overview of his job because yeah. He is the grand marquis and commands forty legions of demons, holding the title of prince. So Jacques’ title would be the same, though not Annette as viscountess sounds cool to me >:). People also go to him to solve issues and love quarrels despite his, as you’ll learn, rocky marriage. He is also good friends with the Astaroth family, engaging in business with them frequently and having Annette engaged to a fine young boy of the family despite her wishes.
Okay, now onto the actual history. As a child, Delroy grew up with parents that hated him. When they were just a toddler they witnessed their mother killing their father. He simply stared in the background, crying. Afterwards she turned and told Delroy they bore their father’s face and afterwards became even more abusive and now not so much towards the dead father. It was all taken out on Delroy in various drawn out torture methods and punishments. Since they were quite well known amongst demons, the abuse was very obvious though no one ever said anything. He endured all of that pain for more than trillions of years until they were able to leave that nasty environment. They had hardened into a ruthless person by that time and did what they had to in order to secure their place in society, even if that meant having to marry what he considered to be a filthy woman. When they had children, they were quite careless with them and took out all of their pent up rage on Jacques. Delroy left Annette more alone because Hell had become more “PC” and violence towards the first heir was more frowned upon. They felt nothing about this, even when their children resented him. They didn’t love them or their wife and instead chose to cheat, drink, smoke, and hang out with other people. Anything to not have to deal with his actual responsibilities. They usually hook up with people below them more often and people above or on their level for information. That’s usually what they’re doing when they don’t have business to attend to, so Delroy’s met quite a few ‘toys’ to play with. *smirks* (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[Being the leader of the Ichor gang, she’s known for being ruthless. That’s what you have to be in order to lead, after all. Greyson, or Grey, thinks more with their mind than heart. It’s not that Grey doesn’t have a heart, it’s just that she can’t risk the chance of being caught off guard. With eyes everywhere, it’s a constant fight to be the literal top dog. Image is everything, and she needs that in order to be the female leader of one of the world’s largest gangs. Grey is mysterious, really only showing the cold, dead hearted side of themself to the world. Very few can see past that facade and they keep those who do close, making sure they won’t ever betray her. Lies roll easily off her tongue, making it easy to fake an identity or get something she wants. She can manipulate with ease, making people unsure what is fact or fiction when it comes to Grey. There are plenty of rumors about her: some about her sneaking out to the rooftop at night, playing her violin to the stars, and some about seeing her speaking with the Ichor’s true enemy, Onyx Pavlova. Despite her having created a careful image that people believe oh so easily, it doesn’t mean she can completely become the robot she desires to be. Grey, no matter how hard she fights it, loves Onyx. She’s had many opportunities to kill her, yet has never been able to pull the trigger. And when she has, it’s always missed. And the other truth is that Grey’s a perfect shot. Grey has a short temper, often not being able to tolerate her name being trashed on. This is one of her weak spots, the times where she will unnecessarily kill people just because she’s pissed off at them. She’s quite prideful and at that point will let her heart take over, not her mind. Even though people view her as a calculating monster, she despises the blood feud. It’s terrible in her opinion, seeing as their grievances to each other have only been because the other did it and that action was payback. They barely remember the reason why they’re fighting, only that they hate each other. Grey finds it tedious and stupid, knowing things could be so much easier if they just called a truce, though also knew that her followers would most certainly rebel against her if she did such a thing. People were loyal to an extent, but would die for hatred. Grey doesn’t bother being friendly or flirtatious in any way, usually being blunt and jumping straight to the point. She is either honest or extremely deceptive, one or the other.

(view spoiler)[Well, someone who was raised as the heir to the Ichor gang has to have had an interesting life. Grey was always underestimated from a young age to them being a woman and having hemophilia. They had been the only child to Andrei Levitsky and Anna Levitskaya, given the mother had soon after been assassinated by the rival gang, reigniting the blood feud. She’d always been taught to hate the Violets, although it could never fully solidify when she met Onyx. They had seen each other playing in neutral territory when they were younger and had talked, despite what their gangs would have preferred. They had something to relate to, and their appearance didn’t mean anything. But Grey later learned that it wasn’t so simple, that you can’t just be friends with the rival gang’s heir. Her father taught her that once he found out about Grey’s friendship, taking her to every brawl that took place and showing the bloodshed it caused. He even took her to her mother’s grave to prove the point. And Grey knew. Her members would only continue having their hatred, and the Violets would only meet her offer of a truce with suspicion. So Grey betrayed Onyx, telling their father what they had learned from their conversations. From then on the two were enemies, growing up seeing only glimpses of each other.
When Grey was only 27 her father succumbed to lung cancer, leaving her the new leader of the Ichor gang. While she has all the power in the world on paper, she still has yet to fully make her members trust her. Grey has to live up to her fathers potential, to the Levitsky family name. And, despite her wishes, that means taking down the Violets, along with Onyx. (hide spoiler)]

Her skin is pale like snow and she has a lot of hair on her body that grows so fast she doesn’t bother to shave it anymore, so she has a lot of hair on her arms and legs. Her hair is fine and long, a dark brown that many mistake for black. In the area she lives in, it’s always pretty cold so she’ll usually be found wearing long coats with fur. Underneath she wears black slips, easily moveable in. Grey is always hiding a weapon somewhere, in fact she’s often hiding multiple at once. She can hide them easily, despite her attire. Grey wears black heels even though they’re impractical. They wear makeup, though not a lot. Since Grey doesn’t get much sleep, they use foundation and concealer to hide their eye bags, but that’s about it. Without makeup people will often call her a sleep demon behind her back. Indeed, Grey does appear quite ghastly.

This makes her difficult for people like May, who need things told bluntly in order to understand. She’s a shoulder to cry on for sure, always being there for you when you’re down. And it’s like she can see into the future, as her words are always so comforting to others. People see her as a mother figure, even if they’re older than her. Marigold has many siblings, so she learned to take care of them from a young age. Marigold finds it hard to continue holding a grudge because she always finds reasons for them to behave in that manner, always knowing different perspectives and how people could come to that conclusion. Some people simply don’t have reasons, though, and this leads to her forgiving people for no reason. Marigold enjoys teaching others how to do things, finding it wonderful that someone would try to learn her interests. She sets high standards for herself, feeling that all of her work has to be perfect no matter what it is. She would have to take care of them while her parents worked and thus learned lots of skills, but also developed a lot of issues along with it. When she was a teenager, her parents jumped at the opportunity to immigrate to the Rabbit Kingdom, scared of the tension with the Canine Kingdom and Feline Kingdom, wanting to be in the safest kingdom. Marigold loved the language and loved the sights, so happy to be in a new place for once. She wanted to learn every word, and thus studied heavily in the language. She became pretty fluent, though not without a slight accent to her voice. Rabbit Kingdom citizens are known for being friendly, but that doesn’t mean it’s all fun and rainbows. There are still plenty of judgemental folks there, and Marigold got called several names a few times in her life. People would call her a killer and slurs and told her to ‘stop killing rabbits’ even when she was eating the fake meat she needed to survive. When she was 18, she was at an antique store out of curiosity when she saw a fun girl with a few toys in her hands. She bumped into the girl, then accidentally spoke her native language to apologize. The girl, which she later learned was May Lune, was excited to see a first generation girl who also was trying to learn how the place worked. They talked for a while, and then soon wanted to talk again. They’d meet up at various areas that May liked, with Marigold usually not caring either way. It wasn’t long before she started to develop feelings for the moth girl, feeling her heart race whenever around her. Marigold was soon writing love poems in her little writing journal, feeling suddenly embarrassed whenever May was curious to see what she had written. She thought when she left for college that things would be easier, having been freed of her needy siblings and able to explore the world. But now she was confined with love, something that was truly terrifying for her. Yet Marigold was happy, and is happy, whenever she is around her. Like their gender, for instance, which no one will ever know if it even exists. Alex either remains with whatever pronouns people call them by or dresses in a manner to suggest they’re either a boy or a girl, usually benefiting them in some way. Alex is also quite flirtatious, which also helps them get the things they need to bring back to the Violets. Despite how good at romancing others they are, Alex has never fallen in love and honestly assumes they’re on some level of aromantic (though they’re gonna fall in love with someone hehe). They run mostly on impulses, having to think quickly in order to do their job. They are pretty confident in their abilities and can sometimes come off as arrogant, though they never really mean to be unless they’re talking to someone they dislike. Alex can be very blunt and won’t hide it when they dislike someone, often going out of their way to make fun of them. They also make fun of people they like, too, usually coming up with nicknames or some sort of thing to tease them about. Even if they ask them to stop, it’s unlikely they will unless it’s really hurting them. They put off a very careless front, though that’s because they’ve seen a lot. The two would often play in the lawn surrounding the Violet mansion. Since they were best friends, they also caught on to Onyx’s crush on Grey. At first it was a bit odd, but understandable for Alex, seeing as they hadn’t yet learned the ways of the blood feud. That is, until the betrayal. Alex’s parents were killed in the raid that made Onyx the leader of the Violets and afterwards Alex changed their personality quite a bit to cope with the loss. Gang members cope easier due to the constant loss in their life, but it doesn’t mean that it’s easy to deal with. Part of Alex blamed Onyx for the death of their parents, though they knew speaking it would get them killed. Soon enough they realized they shouldn’t be hating Onyx, but rather the one who had manipulated them to gain that information. Grey Levitskaya, at the time heir to the Ichor gang. She doesn’t mean to do this but the life of a celebrity often requires this. When people want honesty in regards to things like this, it’s very hard for her as she just wants to see people pleased and to like her. Fraise is overprotective of her close friends, often making sure they’re safe before they do anything she thinks is rash or particularly shady. She has a taste for adventure and usually will be anywhere but her large apartment, exploring the nooks and crannies of the Feline Kingdom’s city. This leads to her knowing where most things are and she can easily find places to run off to when she needs to be alone. Speaking of alone, Fraise gets that feeling a lot. Despite her trying her best to always imagine what she’s grateful for and the people she loves, she can’t help this sadness that hangs over her head. It’s like no matter what she does, she’ll always fall. Actually, trying to get out of it usually seems to make it worse. Fraise has been depressed for quite some time, but doesn’t know it and just dismisses it as a bad feeling or not being real at all. She’ll push herself to the limit just to hide the fact that she’s suffering and will distract herself with something else, usually opting for running around the city, going to museums, or shopping someplace. This is why it’s so hard to tell when Fraise is hurting, as she masks it with a cheery disposition. She’ll be your shoulder to cry on, but she couldn’t bear it if people had to see her own worries.

Fraise was the daughter of a famous singer and a famous actor, born into what was practically royalty. She was born seeing the horrible things that people did to one another and this cast a dark shadow upon her life. Once her mother, Cerise Lignaria , finally got away from her husband’s abusive environment, she released another album and got tons of money off of it. The money lost in the divorce battle was quickly earned back and Fraise lived once again in the same quality of life, though without the fighting, that she had always had. She got more into her own career and began to write several songs, becoming more well known in her own right. She really popped off and that was when her mother also found someone, that being Beckett Meli. He had had his wife pass away and had a daughter left that was named Buzbuz. Fraise was just glad to not have another abusive person in her life, so was completely okay when her mother let her know they were engaged. She was also fine when they were visiting the Feline Kingdom long term in order for Cerise to be closer to Beckett. To Fraise, that just meant she was farther away from her old life and closer towards her new one, already performing at more high end places than the last. She likes it mostly in the Feline Kingdom, although the gangs do make her anxious. Buzbuz seems to particularly like one of them, which puts her at even more unease. The only reason she tolerates it is because they haven’t done anything too bad yet. She’s well known in the kingdom, seeing as there are very few bees, especially celebrity bees, residing in the area. This gets her on all sorts of magazines and she’s glad to be in the spotlight. Even though they wouldn’t hurt a fly, their height and words often come off as more sinister than it really is. It’s also hard when the Spider Kingdom is feared due to many being quite judgemental of their spindly bodies and many limbs. The truth really couldn’t be more far off and Orchid is often given a hard time. He’s quite friendly and will give people second chances, always believing people when they say they’ve changed. He gets anxious very easily and is often ruminating about certain things and has a lot of intrusive thoughts, specifically relating to germs. This has contributed to his bulimia as well as simply functioning. It’s difficult for them to eat and do daily activities without being berated with the urge to do compulsions to prevent some mysterious disease. Orchid doesn’t believe that anything will happen, but a part always goes “what if” and forces them into doing it anyways. One of the things they really hate about themself is that they get jealous pretty easily. While Orchid is very kind and friendly, it’s hard for him to get to talking to people in the first place. Starting up conversations themselves is difficult and they find themself envying outgoing people. He also thinks about his looks often and wishes he could be like skinny people. They have a lot of dysphoria on top of that as well, creating a lot of body image issues. They can’t handle change too well and often find themselves sticking to their comfort zone and not doing dangerous or new things. Usually it’s other people that force him into doing those things, whether it be good or bad for them. Even though Orchid isn’t the smartest with social situations, they’re very intelligent academically and can think quite well. He’s pretty humble (in the genuine way) so most people don’t know this about him until you catch them reading philosophy or science books. Orchid does realize their brother isn’t a good person, but they keep him in their life because they want to see Carnation change. It hurts them in the long run, but they’d do it if they could ever have a true brotherly bond.

From a young age they felt dysphoric about their body and once they moved at the age of 9 to the Snake Kingdom they told their parents about it and was accepted, luckily enough. He had always been closer to his father, a black house spider and the two shared a striking resemblance to each other that was not shared with his mother. One factor that helped them be close is that his mother had lived in the Snake Kingdom for almost her entire life and only recently was their father able to immigrate with his sons. Orchid was often bullied by Carnation for not being as strong and was even physically hurt at times. This led to their trust with his brother break for a long time, though after a bit Carnation changed his tactics when he realized Orchid would stay firm in his decision. Orchid had a lot of issues that began to occur when they were around 12, and Carnation found all of this out and would emotionally abuse them for it. It caused a rift, though Orchid would always forgive his brother even though it wasn’t deserved. At 13 Orchid met Azalea and the two became good friends and Carnation became interested and got to know them as well. While they didn’t know they were nonbinary at first, they still had a subconscious comfort in being around them as it felt like they understood. That later turned out to be true when Azalea came out to them. Orchid would always try his best to cheer them on and would help them in making their appearance less gendered. Carnation would always treat it like a competition and after every single good thing Orchid did he would do something even bigger, whether it actually be helpful or not. Orchid found that they were happier around Azalea, a human being, versus listening to college professor’s lectures. They did everything with each other and he even gave them a nickname, Aza. In their first year of college (they were 17, since they were pretty smart) they realized that they had a bit of a crush on them. In fact, they realized a lot of stuff they’d been suppressing. It was a lot but they came to terms with it and then they noticed that Carnation seemed to be feeling the same way. Orchid had always dismissed his behavior as him having a personality disorder, although they soon realized it was quite an obsession. Orchid tried their best to get Carnation to chill out, although it usually resulted in anger. When he moved in with his brother and Azalea, he was so happy! It saved a lot of money and would be a great way to live before they eventually could afford their own places. Whenever Azalea wanted to sleep next to him to escape nightmares, he definitely blushed a lot but agreed, not wanting them to be hurt or to be scared. He never made it weird and had to say that over and over when Carnation would threaten to end him if he did anything with Azalea. The only reason he was spared was because the two of them both knew that Azalea was very close and wouldn’t ever mean it in a relationship-y way. In his freshman year he had met a girl named Hyacinth and actually had had a bit of a crush on her as well. So when they asked him out he said yes, having much bigger feelings at the time for her then for Azalea. Quickly the feelings for the sheep dissipated as he focused on Hyacinth, though not completely. At first Orchid was pretty happy with their relationship, although it soon became toxic as they had a lot of mental health issues. Orchid did, too, but his were more under control at the time and he could handle a relationship. His happiness depleted and his symptoms got worse, leaving Azalea and Carnation to notice. Carnation really only urged him to break up with them because it was hurting Azalea and Azalea did it because Orchid was one of their best friends. As much as Orchid hated confrontation, he had done it once before with Carnation and felt he could manage to do it again. He broke up with them in person at one of the campus libraries. And oh, it was an explosive argument that ensued. Mainly one sided and it ended with him running away as Hyacinth chased after him ready to beat him with a library book that she had to pay for later. Things pretty much resumed as normal after that seeing as she blocked him on pretty much everything. He still felt a bit of guilt but he was more glad to be out of that situation more than anything. His feelings have come back but now he’s a bit scared to pursue a relationship and doesn’t like to face it as much. Although he’d totally melt if Azalea liked him back. (hide spoiler)]

appearance ; Orchid is a black house spider mixed with brown recluse, although they inherited most of the house spider and not so much of the recluse. The ends of his hands are black with long fingernails that grow very quick. They have six arms and their entire body is quite lanky. On top of this, he is 7’4, around the average height for many spiders similar to his kind. This certainly creates a scary appearance, especially when in a kingdom that hasn’t seen many spiders. Orchid’s hair is very floofy and is black, although has a streak of white that he dyed. Orchid has sharp pointed ears that darken to black at the ends. Where their skin isn’t black, it has a grey blue pallor and is sensitive to sunlight. They have a few black freckles scattered throughout their face. His style includes lots of long sleeves and blue, grey, and black colors. Orchid’s shoes are usually combat boots. They wear a lot of silver rings and necklaces with cool symbols like eyes. Their clothes include a lot of skeletal themes, with bones incorporated into the design. It’s a common aesthetic among spiders to reach that “bony” appearance.

He likes to be the center of attention, pretty much. A lot of people actually really like him and he’s the life of the party wherever he goes, with many simping over him despite his deceptive nature. All of Carnation’s traits are cultivated to create the “perfect person”. To be honest, he isn’t a good guy, and he never tries to blame it on his ASPD. Carnation knows he could be a good person, though he really doesn’t want to. In his mind he’s doing just fine being the way he is. Carnation doesn’t form connections very easily at all and most of the time feels absolutely nothing, the only emotions showing through being anger and a dull emptiness shadowing sadness. He has a bit of a low attention span and not just when it comes to people. He will flit from one hobby to another, never really sticking to anything and simply becoming disinterested. This makes it hard to actually pursue a passion because he doesn’t really have one. There are some hobbies that come back, though, like his passion for creating dolls. He thinks that he doesn’t care about a lot of people in his life, which is true, but not completely. As much as Carnation can say he could give or take Orchid as his brother, he would slit the throats of anyone who ever touched them. While it may not necessarily be the kind of love expected, he is protective of certain people in a way. There is one person Carnation strongly feels emotions towards, however. That person being Azalea. Since they are the only person that makes him feel anything, he is extremely protective of them and gets jealous easily. It’s on an obsessive level and running the complete opposite direction of healthy. Really, Azalea is all Carnation ever thinks about. He would do a lot of horrible stuff for that feeling of love he gets. He really just views a lot of the people in his life as property and only those close can see it since he is very good at lying. Orchid’s relationship with him is very strained, but even so they remain close. Carnation would say it’s just to have him as an asset, although there isn’t much to gain by having them there, especially since he gets in the way when it comes to Azalea.

He went to school to control his abilities as soon as possible, seeing as dangerous accidents could occur if not quelled. He never really saw why it was so necessary to suppress your power, though, and thought that some people really didn’t deserve much protection. At 9 he moved to the Snake Kingdom and grew close with his mother, a brown recluse just like him. She was quite similar to him, it seemed. He could tell that all her actions were mimicking others or just a guise to gain things. She knew he was just like her as well. It was never that Carnation’s mother encouraged his behavior, it was simply that she turned a blind eye to it. His father would take notice, though she would always brush him off. Carnation would often get in trouble at school during his preteens and teenage years for being violent or doing horrible things. He would bully Orchid simply to feel like a bigger person. At a glance, though, he was pretty charming. He was sociable and could make his lies seem true. Honestly, his true nature was only known to his mother. Carnation’s mother wasn’t heartless towards Orchid, either, and could hide her nature well. When Carnation was 15 he saw Orchid had a new friend. He became curious and began to talk with them, then was suddenly completely enamored. All of their actions were so . . . cute. All he wanted to do was hold this person forever and ever. This . . . Azalea. Talking with them was always so entertaining. Seeing their face made his heart beat so rapidly that it might burst. Honestly, he felt like he might just die of love for Azalea. Carnation would always be quite protective of them and would get jealous very easily, though masked this with lies to make himself not appear too creepy. It was an obsessive love and he would spend every chance just to be near Azalea. Their entire personality was so silly. He would feign annoyance to make them feel like they had gotten the upper hand, but honestly felt nothing about it. The only anger he felt was to those getting in his way. Carnation soon became suspicious Orchid had a crush on Azalea, although couldn’t tell since he was always rather awkward around people. He became annoyed that his brother was trying to stop his behaviors and would always get mad at him each time. When they got a house he would sometimes wait by the door and listen to Azalea’s breathing. Sometimes they would watch them sleep just to get that fluttery feeling. In contrast to his brother, he doesn’t have any freckles or anything really that would be deemed as an imperfection. Carnation’s face is pretty symmetrical. He wears a lot of fashionable clothes, including a lot of faux fur jackets as seen in the image above. It’s a bit controversial to wear fur outfits, but he doesn’t care. He wears a lot of bone fashion, which is popular in the Spider Kingdom. Carnation’s main colors are black, white, and gold. He wears black heels and boots. Often he wears gold jewelry with skulls or bones on them.

She can be quite prideful in moments and that is when she’s manic and at times can be the complete opposite, feeling so terrible and worthless that it becomes dangerous. A lot of people don’t see this in Hyacinth, though, and think they’re either a wonderful, outgoing friend or a manipulative jerk. The truth is, none of those are completely the case. Hyacinth has her flaws and also many things that are simply uncontrollable. They tend to bounce from one hobby to another and usually become extremely productive during mania, improving their hobbies or even picking up new ones. They tend to have racing thoughts during mania too and will talk people’s ears off with repeated stories or random ideas that pop into her head. They crave being in the spotlight and get jealous whenever someone is being more recognized than they are, leading them to believe that they aren’t worthy enough for anyone to notice them. Hyacinth is judgemental, often stereotyping people based on clothing or personality traits. She should be the total opposite of that considering they face a lot of racism, but that’s not how they ended up becoming. She often tends to not think before doing or saying things, especially during a manic episode. It’s hard for her to have a filter and usually Hyacinth is absolutely bouncing off the walls. They hate it when things don’t go their way and like to be in control of a situation or at the top. When they lose something or fail to do something they can hold a grudge against the perpetrator or if it’s a hobby, they quit and never attempt it again. Usually they rationalize their mistakes or flaws as something caused by the other person. A lot of these negative traits are why Orchid eventually managed to break up with Hyacinth, which was very hard for him and took a lot of practice and encouragement. Hyacinth was absolutely livid and went back to their home in the Rabbit Kingdom after their break up. Since then she’s “gotten over it” though not really. They still clench their fists if they see an image of him or an orchid flower.

They were bullied for their green skin and made fun of for having a bit more baby fat than the average child in elementary school. This caused a lot of early trauma that triggered their bulimia and body image issues. Soon they became the skinny image everyone wanted them to be. They changed themselves to look more rabbit than frog, even if they couldn’t change the color of their skin. She soon became popular the more she got rid of her froggy routes and even got into modelling. Hyacinth was soon on a few popular magazines trying on clothing or advertising products. She was their token girl, just someone companies could market off of and use whenever they got caught for being racist. Even though this was the case, Hyacinth still did it in order to normalize people like her and thus got to boost her fame, career, and money. She also got to study abroad and do a few semesters of college in the Snake Kingdom while under contract for an agency. There they met Orchid, someone who was accepting and more kind than anyone she’d ever met. Hyacinth was absolutely in love and felt they could truly be themselves around him and he would never judge her. Of course, they never expected him to break up with her. Hyacinth had always imagined if anyone were to do it it’d be her. That just pissed them off even more and they went on a bit of a rampage. Then they became severely depressed and actually took one too many drugs, causing her to wake up in the hospital. This was covered up before journalists could find out, although it’s pretty normal for Hyacinth when they go into a depressive state. They got out of there as soon as possible and just to make him miss her got even more famous, acting in a movie. Now it’s been a while and she’s “gotten over it” as stated in the personality, although that’s pretty ehhhh. She has also gotten an apartment in the Snake Kingdom “just because” and frequently travels there, although it’s totally just a coincidence. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[Not the first image you’d expect to be an angel queen, eh? Vendetta has to be that way. She is a queen, after all, no matter what place she rules. A little ruthlessness is required. She isn’t cruel for no reason, of course. Vendetta only enacts her power upon those she believes need to be put in their place. Serial killers, rapists, and any deplorable type of person you can think of fall under her wrath. Despite her only punishing those who have done wrong, Vendetta isn’t against possibly manipulating her subjects. I mean, is it so wrong? It’s for the common good, after all. Vendetta’s gotten her hands dirty quite a few times, although none have lived or remembered enough of it to tell the tale. Those are the perks of being an immensely powerful being. Only the creator of the universe would have the power to overthrow her, although it seems they’re intent on keeping her in her position.
On the outside, Vendetta is quite soothing. Down to her every mannerism she’s perfect (seemingly). Few know the real her and those who do are either her closest friends or worst enemies. Speaking of enemies, quite a few of them tend to be from the Underworld. The king in particular. There aren’t many that stand equal to her, and as much as she hates to admit it, Apollyon puts up a good fight. Vendetta views herself as superior to most creatures given her control over them, although the Underworld is somewhere that is just out of grip. A place that’s wild, dangerous. Somewhere that brings out even her darkest demons (HAHA GET IT HAHA I SAID DEMON AND ITS THE UNDERWORLD IDJKS). Despite the Underworld being an entirely uncharted and terrifying place, Queen Vendetta doesn’t cower in fear. It only intrigues her. She loves a good challenge and would risk her life for a little fun even if it’s rash. Besides, Vendetta lost her concept of death quite a while ago. She feels untouchable.
Even though she can be harsh, she still views what she’s doing as good in the long run. She also has a bit of a soft side that’s only known to a select few. Sometimes, instead of hunting birds, she much prefers to cozy up in a cloud and read stories from the human realm. While many look down on humans, she takes a special interest in them. The way they act, so desperate in each moment in time. Death looming upon them since the day they’re born. Even if it’s crazy for someone of her status to visit other realms, she sometimes steals away to where the humans are just to observe. Sometimes Vendetta will masquerade as various identities, sometimes she’ll be herself. Sometimes she’ll fall in love, although that was only once. She enjoys the thrill of it all, the danger of being caught.

(view spoiler)[Yes, Vendetta did not always look the age she does currently. At one point she was just a child, nursed by the deity who would have her rule a kingdom in a few years. She recalls being nicknamed ‘Vennie’ by this deity, although anyone else who would call her that in the future would be swiftly killed (it is often used mockingly). She started off the pure angel queen that one would expect out of her. Of course, she was a child, and children often believe everything they are told. She never saw the deity, only felt their love. She would play with the first beginnings of humankind, having tea parties (those were her idea to create) with them and playing hide and seek (she always loved a good hunt). Then, as soon as the deity was there, they were gone, except for the small presence of themself they had left in her soul. Vendetta was left to rule a burgeoning kingdom, soon to be populated more and more over the course of . . well, let’s just say a lot of centuries.
She ruled a few centuries as the kind, loving queen that she was taught to be. Vendetta had never ventured out to any other realms, content with what she already had. Her most daring activity was archery, although she was always only aiming for a circular target and nothing of interest. Then, well, angels told her of the place they had been prior. They told fantastical stories of enchanted forests and harrowing tales of war. Despite herself, she was intrigued. One night she couldn’t take it anymore and travelled past the Heavens’ golden gates down to earth. There Vendetta discovered all they told and more. Books. Lots and lots of books. The culture enticed her and the wildlife (she would later bring the plants up to the Heavens to grow forests and say someone else had, not her. They all believed it). The more she went down to earth the more she discovered about herself. The more flawed she became. Vendetta always anticipated the day her deity would cast her aside, bring up a far purer replacement, but they never did. There was one time Vendetta was on earth when she discovered the ocean. It was such a lovely sight, but there was someone far lovelier on that day. His name was Willow. Never had she known how gratifying it would feel for someone to love her without seeing a mask. He loved her for her, and she loved him too. Willow was a sailor, she soon learned, and often went on voyages to new and better places. Vendetta liked exploring, too. Since she had her wings back then (they were far stronger than any other bird’s wings), she would often take him soaring with her, carrying him along to see sights he’d never seen. She nearly thought to take him to her world, but was terrified he’d leave her if he saw. The two eventually married and it was hardly anything fancy. It wasn’t the large ceremonies common for angels and she was fine with that, for money didn’t necessarily show true love. Willow soon went on a voyage, though she could not come due to her being needed in the Heavens. When she came back down on the day of his return, no ship came. Vendetta desperately asked around, but no one knew. She flew out over the ocean, wind in her face, searching for her lost husband. Days turned into months. She soon accepted that Willow was gone.
During her grieving period, those were the times where she could truly be defined as cruel. Anyone that annoyed Vendetta would be erased or simply yelled at. She was most annoyed that no matter how much she yelled they didn’t seem to care, so at times Vendetta even took off her mask (she’d eventually have to kill those she took her facade off around as it was causing a pesky rumor to be spread). Vendetta focused more on darker subjects, on rebelling. Earth was somewhere she didn’t want to revisit, but she had heard of another place. The Underworld. The place where quite a few earthlings went instead of the Heavens. Vendetta travelled down there, learning all of its horrid secrets. She became ever more curious and reckless, eventually finding her way straight to Apollyon. It became a sort of rivalry, and she made the foolish mistake of battling on ground that wasn’t hers. This caused the loss of her wings, ripped right off from her back. When she staggered back through the golden gates, citizens watched the trail of red that followed her steps. Despite it all, Vendetta found a part of herself wanting to smile. Something had truly given her reason to rule, to fight. It was just like with Willow. Something to pass the time. She made a vow to kill Apollyon, to get her wings back and elect a new ruler to the Underworld.

appearance ; Vendetta is tall and slender, her presence exuberating power. I think the best way to describe her hair would be strawberry blonde and wavy. It grows back rather fast (usually within a month of a haircut it will grow to its previous length) so she often tends to put it in a loose ponytail tied with a black ribbon. Her face shape is sharp and her nose is long. Her skin is extremely pale (there isn’t too much sunlight in the Heavens) and her eyes are amber and eyelashes are feathery. Vendetta hates petticoats, finding them troublesome when running. She opts for whie outfits and sometimes black tights depending on the temperature. Always boots. She wears a cross necklace as it gives her a bit more strength simply by being closer to her deity.

Of course, one of the limits is that she only has powers in the Underworld and the Heavens, with her power being at its highest in the Heavens. That’s why it’s quite dangerous for Vendetta to venture out on earth. In the Heavens, Vendetta has the ability to appear how people want to envision her. Everyone sees her as a charming, kind hearted queen without faults. Not only that, she can also snap those who have been baptized out of existence (baptism is mandatory once in the Heavens, so effectively the entire population can be killed- ALSO I JUST REALIZED THANOS SNAP BAHAHADHHSHJKJKL). People tend to forget they ever existed unless their bond with them was quite strong, so it rarely leaves any trace. Of course, she’s also just incredibly strong despite it not being obvious. In the Underworld, she’s not as powerful. She can still maintain her facade, although powerful demons can see through it with the right eyes. Vendetta still has a lot of strength, too, but that’s about all she can do. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[Rini doesn’t take anyone’s BS. She’s her own person and if you try to mess with her you may not live to tell the tale. She especially hates men and to those she is close to she will often put up a hard exterior (except with Acair). Rini will be the one who’s automatically suspicious of anyone new, usually giving interpretable threats. This is because she’s super loyal to the band and also just like that. Given Rini’s intrusive thoughts, that’s another reason she finds it hard to be around people (particularly men) and doesn’t want to let anyone in just in case things go wrong. People often underestimate Rini because she’s from the Rabbit Kingdom and thus has a small stature compared to people in the Canine Kingdom. It pisses her off. That’s why Rini has such an icy manner that could kill with a glance and why she dresses in all black. It’s so people will see her as not just a ‘little girl.’ Truth be told, Rini actually loves pastels and cute little teddies, but won’t allow anyone to see that side of her. If she does, she’s afraid that people will again see her as a tiny little girl who needs love.

(view spoiler)[Rini’s mother was from the Rabbit Kingdom, though married a rabbit who had immigrated to the Canine Kingdom. She was born in the Canine Kingdom (they married there) and spent most of her years being bullied due to her being small and ‘cute.’ Oh, how she hated being called cute. Her home life was no good either. Her mother and father always made her feel ungrateful for everything simply because they ‘did everything for her future.’ Despite them saying this, they hardly kept track of what Rini was doing when she was away from the house. There was someone out there who did care about her and didn’t think she was so soft. Too bad it was an adult man--Rini was an elementary schooler. She was groomed for nearly two years and made to do things that she was far too young to do. This would later be fuel for her intrusive thoughts, but for now her OCD manifested as the need to check things and make sure people were okay. Rini only left that old man because she moved to a different area, but that didn’t stop her complex. She didn’t know what a real relationship looked like and was isolated in school. This all changed during high school when she was a freshman, the youngest of all of them (she was hella smart). Rini met Acair and they became good friends, him letting her know what a true bond meant and that what happened to her wasn’t okay. She found herself and got back into what always interested her: the keyboard and singing. Acair was the only good person in her life, the only one who noticed things like her compulsions. In turn, Rini noticed when Acair struggled and would help to the best of her ability, although she felt it didn’t do very much. They didn’t necessarily have to go in detail about what they’d been through, all they knew was that they shared many things. That was enough for them to grow close.
Rini’s closest relationship is with Acair, but she’s close with all the band members. He’s the first she’ll go to for help, though. Nowadays she writes lyrics for the band and sings her own little songs in private. Oh, and she plays the keyboard. (hide spoiler)]

Rini wears black tights or fishnets with combat boots or really high black platforms. They make her taller, obviously. (view spoiler)[Belle is . . clumsy. She trips over ten times a day, drops something, forgets where she put something, or . . yeah. She doesn’t have many friends now, but she isn’t antisocial. Belle can talk whenever she’s around Lucien. Given he wasn’t there for the majority of her life and is the only one left in her family, Belle is extra attached to him. She’s a loyal girl and wants to appease him because she’s terrified he’ll leave. She’s a sweet person who gets excited easily, being a pleasant person to be near. If she didn’t have the disorders she does, she’d be able to do many things, but she’s held back by things she can’t control. Belle doesn’t know how to ask for help, especially since she’d never learned to as a child. One of her coping mechanisms is morphine. Belle tries her best not to give into the drug, but on bad nights she does it. Bad nights are common. Even so, she’s determined to get better now that Lucien’s here. She doesn’t want to give up anymore and is working on preventing it. Opposite to her brother, Belle doesn’t like to do complicated things. In helping Lucien solve crimes, she often acts as a simple gorl who don’ know anythin’. Turns out, Belle’s a really good actor. It also turns out that old men love telling secrets to little girls, and this is what helps Lucien gain information. While Belle is resilient, she is also sensitive and cries easily. This isn’t bad, but she’s ashamed of it because a boy she once knew would call her immature for crying when he kissed her. Whenever she’s stressed or at a low moment or wants to do it for fun, Belle regresses. It brings her into a child state of mind, her healthiest way of coping. Sometimes it’s involuntary, sometimes it’s purposeful, but either way it’s a part of her.

Her name is kinda crazy, but it’s got some context. Her mom couldn’t decide between Belle and Bella as a name, so she just made her middle name Bella! As a child, Belle never knew her mother (she left days after she was born), so she never had time to miss her. She did, however, witness Lucien always talking about her. He’d go on and on, pushing her away whenever she wanted to play with him. Her older brother was always preoccupied, so she made friends elsewhere. In pre-school she was a popular girl, everyone considering her to be perfect, but having such a vibrant social life was really the only way to make up for her lacking home life. On top of that, Belle had begun to limit her foods, but not for reasons one would expect. It was the texture. She began to get anxious trying new things, or things that scared her. Her diet was very limited, but her dad was too focused on his job to pay attention. Even so, he loved Belle, but couldn’t be there for her often. In elementary school, the foods Belle could eat only lessened.

As her father’s job became more taxing and her brother tirelessly spoke of his mother, Belle would ‘hang out with friends’ after school. Most of the time, she was wandering the streets, stalling the time. It was always so lonely, and the most social moments were when her brother and father were yelling. Those were moments where she felt she ‘missed’ her mother. Because maybe, just maybe, if her mother were here, this wouldn’t be happening. On those strolls, she met someone. There was this boy who went to the school nearby that she met and they began to hang out often, walking around and exploring various areas. Over time the places Belle went with him became more desolate and the things they did became more dangerous. She was exposed to codeine and cigarettes. It’s not like Belle ever got a lesson it was wrong. Maybe the boy had to do a little coaxing, but she believed it was fine. It’s just one cigarette. It’s only a little codeine. What could go wrong? Belle’s first time, the boy acted funny. She was only eight. He was fourteen. One minute, they were laughing, the next, he was kissing her. It’s fuzzy . . but she may have said no. Some form of light resisting. The girl didn’t want to hurt his feelings. He told her she was old enough for this, that she shouldn’t be so shy. That’s when it all began.

It continued for a while, getting worse and worse. He called her his girlfriend. She didn’t know what that meant fully, but maybe it meant she was an adult. Maybe it meant Belle was mature. That’s what that boy always told her: that she was mature for her age. Belle took it to heart, doing whatever he asked of her. He’d sneak into her room so they could hang out more, but he was only using her. During those days, she tried to become closer to Lucien. Subconsciously, it was her begging for an escape. She wanted someone to trust, to depend on. Still, it was the same as ever; Belle was ignored.

As she became a teenager, Belle was more angsty and began to understand her trauma, she started to realize she was being used. It was a slow process and not one that came upon her like a flash. Belle had so many indicators she was suffering. Her PTSD, for one, was affecting her, even if she hated to admit it. Not only that, it seemed that whenever she felt in a bad mood, she’d act more childish (she was age regressing). Eventually she began to try to distance herself, just wanting him to go away. He knew where Belle lived, though, and would bang on her windows at night. She hates her room for so many disgusting reasons to do with this boy, but this is another big one. Belle used to wake very easily and on rough nights wouldn’t sleep well, but she could sleep. After that, she was wide awake, heart racing at a single sound. Even when the boy stopped banging on her windows, even a rustle would put her in fear. She was only thirteen at the time. He was nineteen.

Then, two months later, her father died. She knew he was involved in dangerous work, but she never knew it would be the death of him. Even if they never had that many moments, Belle was still hurt so deeply. Even if she couldn’t tell him the things that happened to her, the foods she couldn’t eat, he was her stability. Then Lucien moved away as quickly as possible, leaving Belle in the foster care system. Until she became an adult, she went through various homes, facing emotional neglect or the knowledge that they’d eventually abandon her anyways. She never even bothered going to college, the stress of high school already having been too much for her. Her usage of codeine became higher, causing her to turn to another, worse drug. Morphine. Belle had always lived near the border, where crime was common and unregulated. Even if she hated what they did, she was desperate.

She eventually went back to the house she’d inherited, holing up in there. Belle tried to find jobs, but it seemed she just wasn’t cut out for them. Belle eventually gave up. The drugs, the trauma, herself: she just wasn’t good enough. Or at least that’s what she told herself, mental illness clouding her mood and souring every thought she had. Actually, Belle’s time alone gave her time to practice art and her drawings became something to marvel at. She never had the thought to sell them, so for a while she was living off her inheritance, which wasn’t enough to last a lifetime. Belle was living. Sure, she spent most of her days in bed, but all lives are different! . . Right? In reality, life was terrible. At one point, Belle became so depressed she couldn’t move a muscle, eventually having one of her neighbors check up on her and making sure she was safe.

That is, until he came back.
And he'd forgotten who she was.

Belle was used to being forgotten, but at least Lucien knew her name when he’d lived there. He did, right? Now that she thought of it, there were only a few times he actually addressed her, so it was hard to tell. It hit like a punch to the gut. Belle held back her tears, all her terrible memories and emotions coming. But then her brother was . . hugging her?! When was the last time he did that? Belle couldn’t hold on to those feelings in the moment and felt herself hug him back. She didn’t know how much she’d missed human contact until Lucien came. Soon enough, she’d moved into Lucien’s apartment, swearing she’d be by his side. She didn’t want him to leave her, so she knew she had to try hard this time. She couldn’t abandon this like she had everything else.
